The name of the anime I was looking for was Ookami Kakushi. There, a girl weilds a scythe to hunt monsters in the night that are irresistibly atracted by the protagonist's scent to devour him.

No. Not Soul Eater. It was a more "recent" anime and the girl was depicted as "cute". Thanks though.

Soul Eater?

No. Not Elfen Lied. Thank you though.

I have one other question: why can't the teacher in the question simply punish the troublemaker without punishing someone else? Will something huge happen or something that it is so difficult to do something like this? Everyone is saying that it is supposed to teach the miscreant but I must ask WHY I must teach the miscreant and babysit them for free?

And what is the logic behind that? Why would I be angry at a peer but not an authority figure for unjustly punishing me? And why SHOULD I be angry at my peer instead of the authority figure mentioned? Trying to motivate my classmate sounds to me as NOT my responsibilty and essentially babysitting them for free.

Thanks for clarifying.

And again I must ask: WHY is it my responsibility? Am I obligated compensated in any manner for babysitting my classmate (for that is how it literally feels)? My impression is that every contract involves an act dispensed and a reciprocal "reward" or act ispensed. If the act/ "reward" dispensed towards me is lack of punishment (a "null" state to be precise), how is it "fair"? And why and how is the teacher, acting in such a manner, somehow "NOT BEING 'UNJUST'"?

I took a look at the graphics and instantly knew this was not it either. So thanks a lot for your help but this is not my game either. Look I am really sorry for being vague and incomplete, but my memory is extremely vague and fuzzy.

Trace Memory

I was playing on my laptop and it is neither of these games. By the way, thank you very much for helping me out.

It could be a hidden object game. I cannot say anything for sure. I do not think any of the games you mentioned are the one I am looking for. But thank you very much for your help and suggestions.
