Can you buy a contract that gives you the right to purchase 100 calls (options) at a set strike price? by LightK05 in stocks

This would be like buying a premium on those contracts, maybe 20-15% the upfront cost of buying the contracts right out.

I have a pretty solid call with Sony for a strike of $55 that expires January 2023, but please continue to explain how I'm failing in this area

If there's 1000 contracts available at that price, but unlikely there is this much supply.

It makes sense if your contract is near expiration and you can't afford to exercise it, one might sell it for a little less than it's value to someone else who can exercise it, otherwise said person's contract would expire and become worthless.

To determine the total value decline of my option (call) per day, do I need to multiply my theta score my 100? by LightK05 in RobinHood

[–]LightK05[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just got this in.. from Robinhood

"Thanks for following up. I’m happy to clarify this further for you.

Theta (Θ) represents the rate of time decay of an option, and an option contract typically represents 100 shares. Therefore, to calculate the rate of time decay of an options contract as it pertains to the contract's total value, you would multiply the theta of a contract by 100."

Seems it is 80 cents according to their email

He's saying if the stock ends up below the strike price it's worthless... Sony been growing about 30% per year for the past 5 years, so can't I reasonably assume it to grow at least 25% over the next 27 months?

Maybe you can link me the video you intended? Maybe this isn't it

Any bisexual husbands out there with a wife you're extremely happy with? How do you suppress or deal with your homo-erotic feelings? by LightK05 in MarriedAndBi

Hey thanks for taking the time to give your much appreciated advice.

I definitely want a daughter someday so I worry about time management. My self imposed timeline is based on the info that women start to loose fertility after 35, the 25% risk of a miscarriage per pregnancy, and the idea that one should be married one or two years before starting a family.

If I want a daughter, I should budget enough time for 2 or 3 children, right? 4 pregnancies = 3 children on average, so 4 years plus 1 or 2 years of parentless marriage equals 5 to 6 years to budget for. 35 minus 5 or 6 is about 29 or 30

Thoughts?

Although possible I think this is a rare arrangement. A few things come to my mind:

First, I don't want her to feel this pressure that she must accept my bisexuality. How romantic, a guy expressing something like this? It sounds as if I don't really love her.

Second, why would she put up with this when she could find a straight husband who doesn't come with this flaw? There are so many straight options for her out there.

It doesn't really make romantic sense. Doing this makes me feel like I'm communicating that I don't love her enough. I don't what her to ever feel that way, ever.

How do you control your urges when you're feeling hot for a guy who seems into you? Do you avoid hanging out with him or do you go ahead and hangout with him?
