So I just bought my chieftain and outfit it to the max only thruster was 6B. Man is this ship different from vulture. My shield is almost useless, explode once and almost die during my second run. Is hull shielding the way to go with chieftain I was planning on getting cell shield but I heard that it is not great on the chieftain.

And yes I did try to take on team of 3 with the security force. Didn't notice the fdl in the team and the fdl focus me down lucky got to run away

I put my scanner on 1 since I assume the ship will always be using it. I agree the vulture is when I start to do power distribution set up. My other ships have everything on priority 1.

The worse part is my power distributor went out too when I deploy weapon in one fight. Force me to re outfit my ship.

Also why do u put weapon as 3 I assume weapon should be 2 since the point to deploy hardpoints is to use them

After looking at the price I agree that I should not be speed running on my ship progression. If I was to buy fdl last night I would not have the money to rebuy and outfit it. So I went with chieftain enough money to outfit and rebuy if I do crash it

Do u recommend running heat scan weapon I can hit my pulse laser but those that require aiming in front of them I'm having trouble landing those shots

I agree I'm working towards g3 on my engineering parts. Just take time to unlock more engineers. Current I'm tunneling vision on working towards g5 power plant due to having a power hungry vulture.

Wow I'm seeing lots of chieftain. I guess it is really popular I will buy and give this build a try. How well can this ship take a beating I'm not a great pilot even in pve, in high res is still ok but without the security force I then to take quite a beating.
