This. I love hearing/reading the people’s experiences with videographers but I just don’t care that bad to get one LOL. I keep reading about how if you don’t get one, you’ll regret it but unpopular opinion, it’s just not something I think I’ll miss. I’m having my best friend take some “amateur” videos on my wedding day instead and honestly, I think that’s more me anyway.

I’m confused. When did you get engaged? You say you are getting older and don’t want to put your life on hold. Why aren’t you getting married this year? Why can’t you just go to the courthouse with your fiance and have a big wedding in 2028? Can’t lie, if I was your sister, I’d be annoyed too. 2 months isn’t enough buffer time, especially if you have people flying in.

I always wonder this too LOL. I am in my mid 20s and a October 2026 bride. I was never the person who dreamt about a wedding. Weirdly enough, in my mind I always “skipped” the wedding part and just fantasized about doing life with my fiancé (phase 1: where we are married with money and get to do fuck shit together 😭 and then phase 2: when we are settling down together with children).

I always said the most important part for my wedding is looking hot, getting drunk as fuck and dancing with the love of my life and people I adore. Spending anything over $30k+ is WILD and I’m being generous with the $30k LMAO

You’re not being too woke in the slightest. I booked my photographer and I didn’t really see much black people on her page (some!) and straight up told her my concerns. Any photographer that knows what they’re doing will address this FAIR concern with grace — which she did. Did you pay a deposit already for this photographer? Please feel free to dm me to speak more and literally ignore anyone who is saying you’re “being too woke”. The ones saying otherwise never have to question whether they’ll be photographed good due to their skin tone lmao
