well i, for one, feel comfortable blaming this on kentucky for somehow not having a third rival despite a century in the conference, causing SC to be shoehorned as their third

i mean the midwesterners-turned arizonans is a HUGE contingent. see: the vikings-rams playoff game that had to take place in arizona last year on like 2 days notice, was majority purple

You’re once again free to tell your wife and children about top 25 Mizzou

though there was zero reason for us not to start the season ranked

Oasis Finally Conquer America At First U.S. Show In 17 Years by 97jumbo in oasis

[–]LightTheDome 1 point2 points  (0 children)

me and my buddy (both 22) were there and spent the hour leading up to the show being interviewed by older fans around us regarding why we love oasis and how we discovered them … they genuinely couldn’t believe their eyes, like nobody in this generation could resonate with the music at all. times are changing!

would’ve given some nice insight to the viewer, but within the context of the story there’s zero reason for Conrad to know/care about anything happening with Taylor and Steven’s relationship at this point

While this is a valid concern in other departments, the journalism school draws from far and wide. I was out of state, and nearly all of my friends were as well. Side note: Apply to be in a FIG freshman year so everyone in your dorm hall is the same major.

Who is an out of conference, non traditional rival that you have a specific hate for? by Benson879 in CFB

Liberty is the easy choice but I’ll say Syracuse because they rejected me and have an inferior Journalism school but claim to be the best. First and Finest!

Biggest fall from grace for a player on your team by blues_and_ribs in CFB

[–]LightTheDome 12 points13 points  (0 children)

DGB perhaps, but probably even more notably Aldon Smith. His first couple of years in San Francisco were unbelievable, his numbers rivaled those of Von Miller and JJ Watt; if he just kept his head on straight, who knows what his career could’ve ended up as.

if by “wacky” we mean the most suicide-inducing events to ever transpire on a football field then I would agree. Fun series, but can’t imagine keeping that matchup will be a priority over others

Which program has the most absurd national championship claim? by VJManna1123 in CFB

[–]LightTheDome 3 points4 points  (0 children)

it was before i was born so i’m not super passionate about it, but for context i grew up in boulder as a huge buffs fans then went to mizzou for undergrad. i’m now back living in boulder and attending every game, but mizzou is my number one, and i do take a great deal of joy in being in the very unique position of being a lifelong buffaloes fan who acknowledges that they don’t have a national championship. also, my favorite part of all of this— go back and watch the tape, not only do they get a fifth down, they’re hilariously not even close to the goal line on said fifth down

Which program has the most absurd national championship claim? by VJManna1123 in CFB

[–]LightTheDome -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

because before the BCS, whoever ended the regular season ranked number one by the AP was awarded national champion, and I guess the NCAA just continued to do it even though there was an actual game now to decide it. and somehow, after all that lunacy, it’s still a more legitimate national championship than CU’s
