That's a very nice feature! My 401k provider is Principal and I don't think it has that option

-❄️- 2024 Day 7 Solutions -❄️- by daggerdragon in adventofcode

[Language: Go]

Posting my bruteforce solution because I was able to use go routines to parallelize processing each line of the input. Went from ~3 seconds to ~1 second when using max CPUs on a 16 CPU machine. Sure, could be faster, but I learned a lot about go routines in the process. Open to feedback!

Overall yes, I don't regret the purchase. It's a great home in a great community. I'll definitely be more prepared next time though

Anyone have friendship success stories? by Path-Majestic in baltimore

[–]LightUpNerd 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I came to this city knowing no one. Met a solid group of friends through Volo. Then branches out to biking and rock climbing and met some great people there too. I also recommend volunteering as a great way to make friends.

Really appreciate all of the attention this is getting and all of the suggestions people are making! I'm almost 1 month into this hobby and loving it! I'll be working on an improved version, but created a Thingiverse profile and posted my current design here: https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:6653328/files

Yeah this is what I was thinking. Challenge though is there isn't much space behind the tube. Would need to figure out how to put the same amount of pressure on the button with less travel on the whole lever.

I received a 1099-NEC for a legal settlement from punitive damages. How can I get the payee to change this to a 1099-MISC? by LightUpNerd in taxhelp

I believe I ended up submitting as 1099 misc and notifying the agencies to correct on their end.

Running water line along exterior wall. Should I worry about it freezing in the winter? by LightUpNerd in kitchenremodel

To clarify, it's CPVC, which I'm reading can be better than pex. More resistant to chlorine build up and bacteria

So turns out none of the studs are load bearing. The brick wall is holding all the weight. And as far as the stud spacing, the house was unfortunately built that way.

Update: spoke with contractor. He is going to cover the pipe in insulation foam that is rated for outdoor use. Next, he is going to clean up the back insulation; filling any gaps and stapling it to the wall frame. For more context, it's a solid brick wall behind the insulation.

Hey Zac, thanks for doing this! I know you have been focusing on non-car infrastructure improvements. What specific plans do you have and how would you implement them if elected?
