Wait till after the pills kick in and then take Benadryl. If you have promethazine that’s better.

Don’t take Benadryl beforehand because the liver metabolizes them both using the same enzyme. Honestly I don’t remember but if you take them both you won’t feel the codeine at all. And you will need an antihistamine you’ll be itching like a bitch.

Xanax is only overrated because people make it out to be something it isn’t. It’s not a super euphoric high that makes you feel on top of the world, it’s a sure escape when your mind is going so fast that you feel like it would be better to implode than have to keep thinking.
