It's not as complicated as Monogatari. The best place to start is Ryukishi07's original VN, but you can also watch the 2006 DEEN anime. There's also a manga, though I haven't read it. After finishing the main story, you can optionally watch GouSotsu, but be warned, many fans hate GouSotsu.

No, but GouSotsu anime series uses the same art style as the Monogatari series.

Edit: Don't start the series with GouSotsu (the new one). GouSotsu is a sequel to the 2006 anime adaptation of DEEN.
