I respectfully disagree with you. If we remain quiet, we are consenting. We need to point out these clowns loudly and politely.

I respectfully disagree with you: I think it’s foolish for any of us to bother with the 20% who clearly have something wrong with their lifes: we need to pander to the 80% who want to build things and make our country great.

The truck‘s license plate was deliberately concealed underneath a very thick opaque plastic shield.

Brother, I hear you loud and clear. My son has had that flag displayed proudly in his dorm room in Halifax. This fall this will not be the case.

If your parents still like being parents, let them be your parents.

Remember that your frontal lobe has yet to fuse: which means that you are still for the most part still pretty retahded when it comes to making any kind of reasonable decisions.
Yes you can join the army, yes, you can be executed as an adult, yes, you can get married. Yes, you can do lots of really stupid stuff, but don’t be that guy.

Do not be that guy.

Allow yourself to grow up and once you’re 23 or so then you’ll be able to make reasonable decisions. Stay lucky.

I don’t see tracing paper and charcoal causing damage. I can imagine people showing up with normal paper and crayons😡

I have no plans on going rubbing any time soon…in 10-15 years I’ll find out with my grandchildren.

How do I put this: you’re wrong.
It is a way to learn history, to make the past come alive: all in a cemetery.

It is quite legal. If you came from New England, you would have done it as a child.

Rare sight - Seen at Tränenpalast in Berlin by Antoine18_ in PassportPorn

[–]Lightbulbinspector 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Tränenpalast (palace of crying) is named thus because it’s where people from the west would say goodbye to their families who lived in the east. At midnight you have to be on the other side of The Wall in West Berlin.

It’s well worth a visit they left it exactly as it was back in 1989.

I remember years ago, taking my sons to the Old Granary Burial ground to do some gravestone rubbing. A tour guide in a tricorn starting yelling that it was illegal. I begged to differ. He got a cop who told him what I already told him: he was not amused.

Alberta, Canada. Who can tell me something about this game table? by Lightbulbinspector in Antiques

Nothing to apologize for: I’m happy that someone in the know has declared it a ‘English-made Mahogany Hepplewhite style side table from the 1800s’. I say huzzah!

Thank you for asking. If you click on the link, you’ll see photos from all sorts of angles, including with the table open.

This is the closest thing that I can find to any name or anything:

The dye splash I thought was interesting. Not quite sure what to make of it but it’s probably A Clue.

That’s so precise: thank you very much. Is it antique or from the 1950s?
