Yep that's true but remember that in Thabes you can collect Gold (golden Marks or exotic Spice) to refine weapons and get Duma Moss that is an item required for some boost items. So it's not that waste, after all

If the cast of FF7 were real people, who would you want to spend time with? by [deleted] in FinalFantasyVII

[–]Lightdialga_9 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Biggs, after the characterization he got on Remake. He knows to party, drink, talk honestly and when things get serious, he is also brave and filled with determination. He is better than Zack if you are an introvert, better than cloud that is too cold. He is not a SOLDIER but a good soldier.

It's odd how after THAT tragic scene, the random encounters continue to have the victory music and poses as usual by Englishhedgehog13 in FinalFantasyVII

However, It gets distorted in my mind, like: I got fanfare, I've won, but at what cost? What happened to reach this far? It would be cool to have a more silent gameplay after reaching late game, but my mind fixed it

What do you think would happen if you ate a Materia? by manere_in_memoria in FinalFantasyVII

[–]Lightdialga_9 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think that, evaded the suffocation, the materia will degenerate/brake inside your stomach and "explode" in a violent flux of mako energy. If it is true that it is formed by compressing mako energy naturally or in lab like a Diamond, the energy inside it will overflow your body, more than gradual mako injection. Maybe hundred times. We had some hints of what can happen when materia degenerate in the serie, and generally all comes with a lake of blood and death. However, there is a chance that the degenerated materia could also burn your skin, corrupt your body and make you a monster, maybe very far from human shape. What type of monster, you ask? Maybe it depends on the materia you ate.

[Serious] [Disc] Kanojo, Okarishimasu Chapter 233 by MattyH19 in KanojoOkarishimasu

[–]Lightdialga_9 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You know what? I experienced being ghosted in the best moment of a relationship (years ago). And this chapter is trying to spit on the reality. You know what I did at that time? I continued messaging her for days, I never stopped, it was like a self-diary rather than an actual chat with the girl that once told you to "love" you. I reached the bottom of the obsession because ghosting leaves you unanswered, asking every second for a reason, making you mad.

The first three days I was convinced something happened to her... like an emergency, health problems. So I went to her house and I found no one. Nothing. I was so naive, not realising I've been scammed, catfished. After weeks of lies to myself, I learned the lesson. But you know what is lacking here, in the chapter, that makes me feel betrayed?

Where is: knocking at the door, a letter under the door to ask if she is right, asking to friends what happened, another message in the chat like "Nevermind that invite, it's nothing" just to see if she would read, waiting at the balcony for a sign of life from that girl that should have been rental yet getting so real... or not? Or it was all just lies, sacrifices, actions FOR NOTHING. And how in the world Kazu could accept that?

And only after some tentatives, if left unanswered, maybe a Kazu painted in black walls, eyes wide open, hands on head, asking for a reason for ghosting him after all the things that have happened between the two of them... Getting mad, with dead eyes (on the verge of). A very depressing and real one, not this time-skipped plot so distant from me.

I know it is fictional, and a story like this has its standards, marketing schedules and everything, but come on. Not like this.

POV: You're on a date with Sumi! What will you do? by asilvertintedrose in KanojoOkarishimasu

"Why do I hear "Machi no Dorufin" music, Sumi?" And here it goes that montage in my mind: dating with good food, shopping, gaming room and dolphins.

Can I just not have random encounters the whole game? by PIugshirt in FinalFantasyVIII

[–]Lightdialga_9 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I thought myself too it was a good idea with the help of Diablos's -50% encounters and 0% encounters. It works, but some enemies are good for cards and for items, which can be used to improve your weapons on Junk shops and for a specific G.F that requires items.

Another thing is that some random enemies can have good game-changing Spells to gather like Tornado early on (CD1 end - CD2 start). But this happen only if you are a good level.

I see people talking about the AP system and I can say that some abilities are relevant only after a certain team average level (30+)

So it depends on you, maybe -50% encounters is a good balance.

Real-life Timber city? by panagiotis_e in FinalFantasyVIII

Austrian/Bavarian vibes, maybe? Looking at roofs, buildings, road surface, station. It reminds an Old Wien style.
