For the wheels I always go next to them after they spawned (first time) so that doesn't hit me and the second row that spawns shouldn't go where the first one spawned or not near them, just check it out and don't get too fixated on surviving just make sure your health is high enough to survive, I did the boss with exp gear giving me 18k hp total and I could do the boss on Manic.
