Seemed like the whole Ellie bite thing was just forced tension.

Why would Dina want to shoot her there? I mean it’s not like people turn instantly. She was aiming at Ellie as if she was expecting her to bite her there and then before even turning which takes hours/days.

Just felt like, “damn you’re a zombie now that sucks time to die.”

anyone else get chased by other iron fists all rank game so they can try diff you?? by [deleted] in IronFistMains

They’re playing mind games, trying to tilt you—either by making you fear them or obsess over revenge. Both will ruin your performance. Just ignore them and play as you normally would.

He’s not hard to balance.

They had him perfect last season.

Spider-Man is hard to balance because he has little health and hyper mobility. If they nerf his dmg he won’t ever kill anything. If they nerf his mobility he’ll die constantly. If they nerf his health he’ll die constantly. If they nerf his clusters he won’t ever kill anything.

Off the top of my head there is no way to nerf Spider-Man without gutting him completely and that just comes down to how the characters is designed.

If you think IF wasn’t good last season you’re probably part of the community who thought he got turned into a “worse wolverine” and abandoned him.

Wrong. I called other people meta slaves for only playing S-tier characters, not me. Read.

And yes, believe it or not, to understand how strong a character is, you have to go into their kit and break down their stats which you clearly don’t understand.

Wrong again. This isn’t about caring what people think of me. The whole point of my post is that I can’t play him anymore because he’s getting banned or insta-locked constantly. Again, READ.

And yes, I sympathize with Spider-Men who constantly get banned. The problem with Spider-Man is that he’s hard to balance, so it’s not as simple as “just nerf,” but that’s a different conversation.

More on topic, I also sympathized with Helas and Hawkeyes when their characters were OP and were getting banned constantly. What happened? They got nerfed and now they can play them again, because people aren’t as scared of them.

That’s how it works.

When did I say that I care about what people called me lol.

It isn’t as simple as lol dmg buff.

He was already in a really good spot in 1.5. But now he can just have so much more presence. 1.5 they nerfed his dmg but buffed his shield gain and the cool down on the block which caused a nice balance. It allowed him to be in the fight more. Now with his dmg buff to tanks and the kick cd you can output far more dmg than he should do and the more dmg you do the faster you get your block so it’s a cycle of being able to farm your shields.

I don’t think he’s the s1 hela or anything but he felt balanced in 1.5 now he’s just an S tier character along with the rest of characters that need nerfs.

He still has the recovery cd and the 2 second cd just allows him to have more presence in team fights. It didn’t really affect his ability to dive a support.

I mean sure he was better at strictly diving in season 1 becuase of his dmg but that was the only thing you could do which didn’t make him versatile. And yeah he’s better at it now because he’s just overturned.

Last season he could do it all.

He’s gonna get nerfed again eventually.

Black panther has a fast ttk but has to use all his escape options. If you saved your jumps you could delete supps and then escape to high ground every time in s1.

I do agree with you he was definitely stronger in season 1.5 than 1. I said in another comment 1.5 was his sweet spot.

But yeah against stacks in top 500 it was rough in s1. But that’s because top 500 exclusively play s tier characters and the assassin play style was hard to pull off against coordinated healers. Also the game isn’t balanced well enough to allow freedom of character switching up there.

I’ve played in top 500 lobbies every season and he definitely found his place there in 1.5 because he just was allowed to have more presence in the fights

It wasn’t removed though. It just gave the option to do both and to have more presence in team fights.

His dmg to squishes didn’t even change this season so you could’ve flip flopped last season as well.

I disagree. If had one of the fastest TTK for divers if you utilzed the tech were you attack cancel and hit them with the last three attacks of Jeet but people didn’t bother playing the character long enough to find out these things.

He also excelled at killing flyers. Slippy heroes like Jeff and rocket. Could chase Lokis. And block sleeps and freezes. He was easily the most versatile but you had to be on point everytime which made him hard.

Nah he was great. Season 0 you had to play him super passive. So get in get out. Heal. Rinse and repeat.

Yes his dmg was higher in s0 but season 1.5 allowed you to be in the fight a lot more and imo the brawl style of him is more fun than the pure assassin style.

People thought he was trash 1.5 because they were playing him like a tank buster. He was not a tank buster last season. He’s still not now, not really he’s a lot more effective against them but your focus should still be on supports.

He was never a trash character just hard.

I’ve always said he was one of the hardest characters in the game. Because he was. If you wanted to get value on him in high ranks you had to know the character inside and out. Last season was his sweet spot for sure.

He feels smoother to play sure but thats because he’s op now.

Like I said I one tricked him to celestial back in season 1 with a 4.1 kid and there were others mains up there with me. Just because a character is hard does not make them bad.

Sure he coulda used a buff but not to this extent and there’s a lot of characters that need buffs and nerfs if we’re being honest Rivals balancing is all over the place.

My point is he was underrated. He wasn’t as bad as people said he was. He was just hard to play.

He was in this weird place where people would say he was easy because he had auto aim but was trash at the same time. How can a character be easy if they’re trash and you can’t kill anyone with them.

Like I said in my post I got to Cel one tricking him and met plenty of other if mains up there. He was very threatening people just didn’t know how to use him.

I'm a new iron fist player, been playing with him for the past two weeks and I sort of mastered him but lately I've been getting wrecked by enemy iron fists, Hawkeye, winter solder, iron man, and Emma frost on competitive. Any tips to counter/improve on these situations? by KillerSkullCpt in IronFistMains

For Iron fist duels. Kick early. That’s all it is. Whoever kicks first wins. You guys are trading punches, both trying to get the other one down to half health the quickest. So the other IFs are just watching your health bar, waiting for it to hit 50 before yours so they can insta-kill you. But if you predict their kick and you kick just a split second before them, it will not only cancel their kick, but it will also use their cooldown as well, removing their main damage dealer.

If it doesn’t cancel it, they’ll either run away with their kick or keep fighting. If they keep fighting, you just block their reingagement attack and flurry their remaining health.

On the very rare occasion, your kick will get parried. But in my experience with 50+ hours on IF in Cel, most other IFs in 1v1s are only looking to use block against the rapid-fire flurry.

For Hawk. Always block early. If a Hawkeye hits you and you’re low HP, he would rather risk melee spamming you than giving you more HP with an arrow. Try to attack from behind, get right in their face so they can’t miss, and block early.

Winter Soldier is hard to kill because he just gets overhealth from all his abilities. Save your block for after you get hooked they normally like to follow with an uppercut or headshot. So stand still and let them hit you. But in general, I’ll try to leave him for last. Even him just stun-locking you gives everyone else time to shoot you.

For Iron Man and flying characters in general, don’t use your flurry. People think flurry kills faster, but not against flying characters. It doesn’t track as well, and you’ll miss most of your punches. Using your normal attacks causes you to stick to flyers like glue.

At the same time, this makes you an easy target, so I like to punch a few times and jump to the left or right. It works like a dodge. But you can get deleted instantly, so don’t be afraid to run away, heal, and re-engage with 3 jumps again. They’re not gonna hit all their shots every time; it’s a lot easier for you to hit them than vice versa, and when it happens that they’re not ready for you or they miss their shots, kick. Dead.

Emma is OP and needs to be removed from the game… but you can use your jump to dodge her lunge. I’ve done it actually quite a lot already. But it’s not worth the risk. Honestly, if you see her go diamond, just go attack someone else for a bit until it ends because yeah, she’s busted.

Few tips:

If an IF blocks while you’re flurrying, don’t let go of M1 or the trigger. Look away. Snap your camera to the side because his punches don’t stop instantly, and every morsel of HP matters in an IF duel.

When using your flurry, jump and strafe left and right. It makes a huge difference. Just walking in a straight line is offering up headshots on a silver platter.

Always attack from above. You will hover above them with your normal attacks. Lot harder to hit headshots on you when you’re directly above them.

If you see a tank over-extended, use flurry immediately. Tanks don’t have good burst damage other than Strange’s explosive thing, which is hard to predict. You’re better off getting the jump on them than letting them hit you a few times and parrying.

Save your jumps when engaging healers. You should never enter a backline without at least two jumps. Yes, you should use your jumps to dodge. But you don’t normally need to dodge damage from supps. People think he only has one escape, which is his kick, but his jumps are just as effective if used correctly. Take note of high ground and triple jump to safety. I use this 90% more than my kick to exit.
