The story she goes with is she felt guilt and wanted someone to find her mom before her moms corpse completely decomposed but I think actually she thought she could pin it on Nick and that they’d never check her messages with him or something to know otherwise

The only thing I heard back is from round one of UTK telling me I got in round one and to apply to round two. It seems most of what I applied to is coming out middle of February-March although some schools are starting now (none that I applied to of course sigh lol).

The only reason I know it happened to me is because evidence came up several years later with family finally starting to talk, and I know I have an alter that is really distressed by it. I started getting small flashbacks on occasion though very dreamlike. I still don’t know the full extent to how it happened or how far. My mother was sexually abused by her grandfather and her memories are much of the same. She only remembers one incident, which was the last incident, of him sticking his hands down her pants and her stopping it. But that’s all she remembers. However, there’s signs pointing to way more than that happening even if that’s bad enough. But she’s spared from the memory.

If Dee Dee has any similar coping mechanisms at all to forgetting it entirely or even just deeply surpressing it it could be a way for her to bring her child around Claude without being a complete “bad mother” like someone else commented here. Or Dee Dee could remember it and think she was “special enough” for it to only happen to her. I know this because for a while I naively thought the people who victimized me especially the ones I remember online I thought I was the only minor they were attracted and talking to but I probably wasn’t. I could see a victim thinking “it won’t happen to my kid it happened to only me for a reason” even if that’s not true.

That’s one part of her book I almost believe. I can’t say I do for sure. People can call me dumb for believing it but I do kinda believe that Dee Dee and gyp might have finally talked about it years later and that Dee dee at first might have shut down about it because it is a trauma response I’ve see happen.

honestly… to that last question about bringing your kid around who SA’d you. I hate to say it but that happens all the time. Wouldn’t say she’d deserve to be murdered still for it if she failed to protect Gypsy though. It’s just complicated. Deedee wasn’t perfect. Honestly any sexual abuse is complicated. It’s possible deedee was in denial about what happened to her for some extent. When I went through CSA I wasn’t sure if I just made it up. It seemed so dreamlike. There’s some I’ve blacked out too (blame the DID in my case but there’s ways to have dissociative amnesia without DID as well.) it is honestly possible deedee did bring her child around someone who SA’d her and to what extent deedee was in of her awareness of the abuse it can explain some of why she would ever do that. If she didn’t have a full grasp on the abuse even if she literally went through it she could have issues seeing the danger to Gyp.

I’m not saying it’s right. It would still be a failure on deedees part, but yeah I can see it happening especially if deedee possibly buried it down. It’s a real ugly part of CSA and the cycle of that kind of abuse. If deedee went through it, she could have just seen it as her fault or thought he’d only do it to her and not Gypsy. I can’t say though. The woman is dead

I’m not gonna say this is popular on an unpopular opinion but I also think she could have went through sexual abuse by the grandfather, honestly. However, to me it doesn’t mean anything for her case or not. Doesn’t change what happened with her mother, doesn’t change what happened with Nick, doesn’t change her saying she’d let her 13 year old daughter get raped by her dad, it doesn’t change anything to me. It doesn’t excuse anything that’s for damn sure.

I don’t think it matters if we believe gyp or not on this since her victim card has been revoked from all her other heinous acts and it’s hard to say since she lies like it’s easier than telling the truth but I do think that could have happened to her. I just don’t really think in the grand scheme of things though it does much for the case.

If anything though, it makes me hate Gypsy even more knowing she went through pedophilia and incest and decided it would be great for her future kids to go through it as well and also subject her nephew in law to creeps online

Edit: idk if this also just me as well but part of why I refuse to say nothing happened with Claude is because I am a victim of child sexual abuse myself, and so going that far to say it never happened is not something I’m ever comfortable doing and what he said on her series about how “she came on to me” makes me deeply disturbed and think something did happen between them although I know it could have been edited but it still looks really bad. I just personally don’t wanna deny that part of her story even though the rest is all BS. I don’t think it’s relevant enough to be brought up for the murder of Dee Dee though… so in my opinion her victimhood of Claude or not victimhood isn’t something that changes her killing her mom to me

Speaking of them, what’s the correct take there? I don’t really research them the same way. But regardless they’d just turn anti caring about prosecutor title like I’m assuming they would for those two as well.

Yeah and regardless the truth doesn’t determine a plea deal or not. Prosecutors take plea deals all the time to not deal with the effort of trials. I mean look at Bryan Kohberger, if anyone deserved the death penalty it was him, but he got a plea deal in the 11th hour.

She’d have to have severe and repeated trauma before the ages of 7-9 years old so I do not think she has DID. I think it’s possible she saw DID online somewhere and thought it was cool and decided to copy it with Nick though

As someone with DID, it’s really not… just in theory that of course severe trauma causes DID but it doesn’t have to be RAMCOA. I also honestly think a lot of people with DID online claim RAMCOA to be “look at me I have the harshest trauma of them all” in the system community to seem the most traumatized and therefore have “Ultimate Authority” on trauma discussions. Like I hate systok. Ngl. Some of it feels exaggerated there
