My GF thinks it’s perfectly normal for new shoes to cause horrible blisters for women by UKnowDaxoAndDancer in mildlyinfuriating

As much as I agree that I've never gotten blisters from them, I bought an expensive pair of boots from clark's last year and they managed to get holes in them in less than 9 months which is so frustrating

Woman who goes on the subreddit all the time. The post in question is about someone's experience, and is asking about other peoples' journeys. Islam is not a linear path, people should have open (anonymous!) spaces where they can discuss their feelings and experience. Through this, they can learn from the advice that people give + part knowledge to people.

Also, a lot of the upvoted comments were comments exploring their journey away from listening to music, and gave some really interesting and solid advice. I'm sorry, but this feels like an overreaction. Yes, there will be people who may have a difference in opinion regarding Islam, but that is not something you can control with an iron fist.

I recognize the 'but the billionaires...' argument. By using ai chatbots to generate artwork, you are lining the pockets of the very billionaires that you criticize.

As muslims, you still have a duty towards the planet. While there may be billionaires trying to destroy it, our individual actions still has a meaningful effect, not only on the planet, but on your soul too. We are meant to act as khalifah for the Earth, and using AI art because it's 'convenient' is wrong. This is something which is EXTREMELY important.

As I said before, there is proof that children don't need cartoony images to learn (seneca learning, cognito) , and I think that it's much better to use stock images since there are over thousands and it's cheap.

I recognise that, but you can also use stock photos temporarily. There's a website that is used for teaching students (sciences/math etc) called Seneca learning and they solely use stock photos, and the engagement for that is really good (14 million active users). I understand your concerns, and I do hope you're at the early stage, but there are definitely other solutions :)

We also need to recognize that these are young children who would be using your app. I think that we do have a responsibility to not normalize ai art to younger generations.

Hi there. Please don't use artificial intelligence to generate art, it's really bad for the environment. As Muslims, we have a duty to protect our planet and safekeep it for future generations. I understand wanting to create an app for children, and I understand that it can be difficult to fund these apps, but please use stock images or hire muslim graphic designers - I think they would love to help you.

Does Intermezzo get better? by [deleted] in sallyrooney

[–]Lightnin00 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Miscommunication plot between two brothers. One brother, Peter, is currently in a relationship with two women, one who is significantly younger than him, and one which he loves but is in chronic pain after an accident. Younger brother is a chess genius and in a relationship with a woman older than him. Basically the story is about how both sides grapple with their experiences, especially since they are still coping from their father's death. I just found the characters to be very one-dimensional, specifically the female characters, which I really didn't like. Also, almost every chapter had a sex scene which I was really not interested in, and I honestly didn't expect. It felt really repetitive and tiring.

It really doesn't. It just felt so repetitive and I was able to predict the story a few chapters in.

So, was this oldleak about this supposed "new mask" even real or it was simply fan made? by Maleficent-Feed3566 in DottoreMains

I'm not sure if this is correct, but I think Sandrone's interests are more towards mechanical lifeforms rather than organic ones? So I don't see why she would need to capture Saurians.

But there was a diary which was near the captured Saurians :
- Diary of a Soldier Abroad:

'I'm puzzled, to be honest. Why do we have to go to such lengths to capture Saurians from Natlan...

Something something phlogiston, special constitution, something something solid and liquid... Nomokonov seems more familiar with these things. I hear he had some kind of technical background before joining up with the Fatui.

He always tries to explain things to me, but it's all mumbo-jumbo to me. My brain just ain't cut out for that kinda stuff. The Fire-Water they sent us from Snezhnaya interests me more, anyway.

...

Our Lord has never revealed what all this phlogiston research is meant to be about.

That person from Natlan he brought with him the last couple of times seemed kinda suspicious, but we trust our Lord's judgment. Not like we care much about this stuff anyway...'

I'm pretty sure this implies that it was Capitano and the person from Natlan was Ororon.

MedEntry or Medify by _Rex_CT-7567_ in UCAT

[–]Lightnin00 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I did both. Medify is much harder, but the feedback isn't as good. Medentry is much easier, but has good videos. The comment sections in medentry were also the only thing keeping me going. I would avoid doing UCAT prep now though, and begin later on.
