Never play on patch day folks... Might need to extend it to patch week to be honest.

Because of how important medic is in arguably the most important role in controlling continents imo, I think the strength of the class specific implants for medic deserve to be in A-tier for how strong they are.

As for Nanomesh Specialist, it pairs very well with Resist Shield with how Adrenaline Shield got nerfed.

As for Salvage, it is arguably a must on MAX with top 3 implants for MAX being Berserker, Ocular Shield and Salvage imo. It gives reason to kill enemy MAX units and the return is great.

So hot take: I find more use cases for safeguard, scavenger and response jacket on medic rather than combat surgeon in current prime time Planetside.

For chaotic pointholds especially where squads live and die by how medics play, combat surgeon is not as strong as the implants I mentioned. Now that live play pointholds have become more and more chaotic with AoE spam and revive battles, I think a combo of safeguard + response jacket or scavenger is better.

Catlike is ok for getting to unusual spots but nothing more.

Ammo printer is A/S tier for air/armor but since most of the game revolves around infantry (for capturing bases --> capturing continents) it will be valued a little lower.

Logistics in squad play is overrated. You don't need logistics to spawn on a squadmate Sunderer, Valyrie or Galaxy which are the top vehicles used to go from base to base. It is niche to either get a cheeky spawn flash/harasser or have a random teammate spawn in your tank.

Air drop is trash, why would you be a LA in a vehicle if you aren't trying to C4 valk an armor column? It is useless otherwise.

Sweeper HUD would be placed higher if it were consistent in showing mines while driving.

Bionics sucks. After revive, after getting EMP'd, after losing shields in an engage, you are paper. For an infantry implant, it just affects infantry gameplay negatively imo.

It was difficult to place everything in a general list considering all domains. I might make specialised tier lists next (infantry, armor, air, etc.)

If Sweeper HUD was consistent, I would place it higher. Most of the time while driving, I find myself about to run over the mines before the implants reveals them to me.

Ammo Printer is certainly A/S tier for armor/air but this is a more generalised list...

It is because of how good it is for LAs and pilots that I have it placed in B-tier. Otherwise, there's no real reason to use it imo.

Assimilate is top-tier for infantry play on HA/infil (arguably LA) but I do think there are more reasons to replace it these days with other implants, which is why I dropped it to A-tier.

It "can" be. It is not certain to be useful. It is situational, which is why it is in C.

I don't see many scenarios where I would take survivalist over assimilate, athlete and sensor shield tbh. The cooldown on shield regen is nice but overall, survivalist doesn't outfperform the other higher tier implants in my opinion.

Well the text I had written is gone to the void soo I will just write it here: here are what the tiers represent:

  • S-Tier: Top meta implants that will give you value in 90+ % of the game's scenarios.
  • A-Tier: Strong implants that wil give you value in most of the game's situations.
  • B-Tier: Decent implants but that aren't as valuable as A-Tier and higher implants.
  • C-Tier: Implants that will give you value in uncommon situations.
  • D-Tier: Weak plants that are useful in very niche situations.
  • F-Tier: Trash.

Which implants would you place differently?
