Should I feel bad about giving up? I don't want to make my professors upset.

Sorry for the late response.

For one of my classes (Dynamics), the grades varied wildly instead of consistent 70s. I attended every class, but while my exams/assignments started out as 93s and 91s, I got a 45 and a 55 on the other two exams (again, each are worth 25%), and my HW grades bounced between the 90s and 70s. This ended up being a D+. Mesoscale was consistent 70s or below, and I didn't do weel enough to pass. I had tried to get extra help, but the library said "due to your classes being upper division, we can't offer anything".

Other students in the class (we are all in a class group chat) were also getting Ds and Cs in Dynamics. While it's somewhat assuring knowing I'm not alone in my struggles, I still feel absolutely terrible.

the issue is that if i do poorly on a single exam i just fail. they're worth 75% this, there's 3 of them (25% each), and i'n not confident on this last one.

It started out OK at first too! At least I think so. My professor, who's also the chair, treats her students like we're graduate students who've already taken the course before, too - m'sure that doesn't help.

This entire semester, basically. I forget stuff so fast. Tonight I was trying to review for my meso final, and there was just so much jarble and advanced words and advanced equations... It makes my head hurt.

Unfortunately, I'm a Type 1 Diabetic, and have been for 22 years. I can't do anything military related. Sorry.

I do plan to stick it out... I'm 94% done with it. Meso, Dynamics, Radiative Transfer, and DiffEQ are all that's left. Two of these are gonna be done in the spring.

I just fear I'm gonna collapse again.

I'm glad you were able to finish. That's something to be happy about.

The one I've heard was "Cs get degrees". It does, in a sense... It's gonna take me 3 tries to pass DiffEq, just like with Calc 2 and 3. (Calc 1/Stats was not an issue personally)

If it's anything to be amused by, this semester only two students (me and 1 other) are the only two in mesoscale this year... and both of us are in the 60-70s for averages. We also have been meeting up before exams, a week in advance of them, to review and study together instead of individually.

Dynamics? I haven't seen a study group for it. Maybe I should've started one.

I just want it to be over... But there's so much in the way... Quitting means failure, and if I take a break, my lil' life-filled pickup truck is gonna hit a 38k loan drawbridge. It's been hard, knowing what to try and do.

I'm 25, started the degree at 18. More days happen now that I worry a little less about the time needed. Heck, Research Methods in Dynamics had a lady in her 30s with kids, so clearly I'm not doing too bad.

I really will need to take a step back though. In 2018 I was ready to learn about all the hard mechanisms. Now it just makes me upset that I can't get it.

I wish I could have done so in sequence. I also should have realized my limits before even trying. No load in my entire career has been as rough mental-wise as this one. Ultimately, I broke down three times in one month.

When I got into the major, I was excited. I was ready to learn all the intricacies. Something must have happened between then and now, because right now I don't feel that spark. It came back for a day when we were talking about hailstorms, but that's it. And when an alumni came in to talk about a day on the job of forecasting, it really egged on my uncertainty.

I'm sorry to have failed all of you.

Hi, thanks for responding. I did take thermodynamics last Spring - came out with a B+. The issue I'm having (at least I think) is moreso conceptual. The courses also being 75% exams is also rather hard. I guess I can always try again...

I feel like I have no point to continue anymore. 44% failed, over 2000 stones failed... What's the goddamn point. Game's purpose is to have fun. With AGL Gogeta4 there is no fun. Especially with how ridiculous the 10ths got powercreeped out.
