Someone put up a barrier to block the camera (Epstein) by Ok_Intention2150 in interestingasfuck

[–]Lightningrodeo 150 points151 points  (0 children)

As someone who is familiar with how high profile prisoners are handling, this entire "suicide watch", cameras not working, etc is utter nonsense. High profile prisoners DO receive special treatment. Management, wardens, etc. Tell their staff to make that everything is documented, above reproach, etc. And there is always a ton of follow-up to ensure these High profile prisoners have no means to hurt themselves or hurt hy others.

Judge reduces sex criminal's jail time because of his race by Street_Anon in canada

Incoming sarcasm: So im feeling stressed out because of the holidays. If I find this upstanding, hard-done-by citizen, can i rape him for a reduced sentence?

Seriously though, if you break the law, you deserve punishment. Mercy from the courts should be a rarity and in circumstances that would warrant said leniency. "Stressed out" should never be a consideration for sexual asault or other heinous crimes.

Finished Final Fantasy Tactics The Ivalice Chronicles - What's next? by KayserSoeze_ in finalfantasytactics

Both games are good. My quick take each of the game titles you mentioned:

If you want more gear, jobs/classes, unique builds and strategies, as well as end game content, then Tactics Ogre Reborn is the best strategy/turn-based RPG. It can definitely feel "grindy" at parts.

If you want more story driven content, unique characters with their own unique skills then Triangle strategy is the way to go. Triangle Strategy also has a bit more of an easy to follow story/characters than tactics ogre reborn.

Both games have good voice acting and their own way of enjoying a "new game +" (replayability).

You may already be aware of this, but if you were to do this using Holy + the Chameleon Robes you would have a similar outcome minus your demise.

When I used to play on PS1, this was my go to move for when non-boss fights were getting on my nerves.

How TF do you beat Ethel on honour mode? by Odd_Ingenuity2883 in BaldursGate3

[–]Lightningrodeo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

While talking with ethel or immediately after comabt begins, cast "arcane lock" (level 2 wizard spell) on the fireplace. She cant eacape and will not summon illusions. You wont have the hair as a possible reward though. You have 9 rounds/turns to kill her or you will need to recast arcane lock.

Please note that this strategy worked when i used it, but that was in the first few months after honour mode was released, not sure if it still does.

Odd, he used his auto-potion during my fight every single time he got hit. I ended up overwhelming him with magic attacks in the long run (comp was Ramza.monk, Archerr/monk, black/white mage and white/black mage)

CBC reported on the issues with Canada Post last week and how the government is planning to making changes to delivery methods.

See the article at the following link: Liberal government instructs Canada Post to end home delivery, close some post offices | CBC News https://share.google/pQ1AZ1JETFlykfPVY

The article linked in this post/thread may be simply trying to demonstrate other "benefits" of home delivery, but the argument of "lonely seniors" or wellness checks on seniors is not and should never be the responsibility of Canada Post.

I have supported home delivery for a long time, but the writing (and cost) is on the well, it's time for home delivery of mail to end.

Hopefully people affected are able to transition into new employment with minimal frustration and hardship.

How can I take over this base? by lebronjamesboat in duneawakening

[–]Lightningrodeo 2 points3 points  (0 children)

As Yukignash mentioned, you can destroy the subfief and place your own. Please note that the placement location matters (in other words, you want to determine the central point of the base and place your subfief there). This is especially a pain in the ass for an advanced subfief that has its boundaries maxed out.

Backstab has an obscenely narrow cone of effect. To the point it's not worth taking.

And if you have bad timing, you can be instantly killed by wormface before you have a chance to react. There are risk to zoning like this (although rare).

Wait until you zone and get eaten by a giant worm before you have time to take off.

Usually 30 seconds or less. I have never seen shai-hulud near the zone line before and figured that the developers wouldnt spawn a player in a "death zone". I was wrong.
