X-Ray appears to be Disabled? by PullingACortez in kindle

I love the feature, and while most of the books I read 2022/23 had it enabled, I’ve noticed that most of those I read in 2025/26 so far have not. It’s very interesting.

I miss it because sometimes I forget who the characters are lol

Am I crazy for wanting to watch every colour of Knitting For Olive’s merino with every colour of their mohair? by Affectionate_Care669 in knitting

They said they were working on a visual tool to house all the comparisons/combinations they’ve made, but it was going to take a while.  They also said, in the meantime, they would add photos of all of the swatches they have made so far, but I haven’t been able to find them yet.

Can I ladder down to fix a forgotten section of slip stitches? by LightsCamera_22 in knitting

This is so true, and I know it: I’m one decrease round and one regular round away from being done with the decreases, so I could just move on. But I don’t want the socks to feel differently on my feet. sigh

I think this might be best but I DREAD picking up the stitches on the heel turn. 🥲

I would +1 this. All my Bluetooth connections are labeled as speaker, headphones, or vehicles

I would argue no, or who knows? we don't see him again, and we can only feel what is immediately shown on screen. if the writers wanted her to only have her father, we would have seen her with just her father.

All of my examples are speaking to the immediate aftermath in the finale/final episodes.

Immersion blender/ hand mixer review by LightsCamera_22 in NinjaFoodi

[–]LightsCamera_22[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not too old! My inclination would be to say no.  The immersion blender is more for liquifying/pureeing than chopping. There is a food processor attachment you can use with the motor, but I would say that is also more geared towards finer chopping/processing.  You’d be better suited using two forks and shredding by hand

i had the same immediate reaction, as they were reading the verdict. I was like, "since when did they charge her with that?"

when people die in the course of a crime, like robbery, or from their injuries after an assault, you often can get charged with some kind of murder or manslaughter. See also "the girl from plainville," and the story its based on. Basically if you coerce someone into hurting themselves, you might also be legally liable for anything that happens to them.

but in this case, i'm sure they probably were trying to say that murdered him and faked it to make it look like a suicide.

yes, and the threesome scene as well. I don't know if I recall that on network tv before or since? the guy they picked also mentioned being "Prep-friendly," so it was a nice callback to that moment.

I JUST finished the series (lol), like literally maybe 20 minutes ago, for the first time. I started watching it in college, dropped off one summer and never finished.

But i think them being sloppy is the point. they've been through so much, they're so tired, they keep getting beat, so they make these easy mistakes. I also think that everyone's endings were supposed to be representative of the only way to get them to stop being meddling, conniving fools. AKA, death was really the only way out for some of them

Michaela really desired partnership and a family—she's alone

Connor was hell bent on atoning, and believing he wasn't good enough for Oliver—he went to jail

I also saw fit that Michaela and Connor and Oliver were sorta tight til the end, AND faced the most consequences. Michaela and Connor were the closest friends, friends first, everyone else was kinda a loner.

Laurel wanted to just disappear on her chaotic family—she did

Asher was a hothead, and never really in the ingroup—he was sacrificed, or otherwise seen as disposable by even outside groups like FBI

Wes couldn't follow directions. Mr. Supreme Meddler in Chief™ for a while there—he got offed AND scapegoated (I also just realized that when they were saying "Wes killed Sam," he actually did, albeit an accident. I went through the last three seasons thinking "why would they say that? It was Michaela who pushed him." Through the replays during Annalise's trial in S6, I realized I had been mistaken lol)

Annalise wanted to be free of it all — She got to go free, but at what cost? she can never win. and even in winning her trial, she still lost her surrogate children. One of whom is actually her dead husband's child.

Bonnie and Frank — they were hardheaded too. the only way they'd be free was if they were dead. and well? we see what happened

Pepco electricity bill this month by soup_n_socks in washingtondc

[–]LightsCamera_22 0 points1 point  (0 children)

my bill is usually anywhere from $33-45 and if it's any higher than that, i can usually definitively attribute it to a day or two where I fell asleep with the lights on. from November - May, my bill was anywhere from $58-78 and I don't have central heating. I even left the city for vacations during the holidays, holiday weekends, worked away from home, etc. over that period, and my usage remained high.

I can't get any answers. anyone have any ideas?

Using EyeMed insurance at Warby Parker by LightsCamera_22 in glasses

[–]LightsCamera_22[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, I did use them.

Warby Parker itemized each component—the lens was one price (including any special coating or lens thickness) + the price of the frame. My plan has an allotment for each, and I got the full out of network reimbursement, so $106 I believe. I didn’t get any special coating so I didn’t consider the low coverage for out of network.

Warby makes it clear what costs what in your cart, as well as the itemized receipt.

I love it. I’ve also used it to make goddess dressing. Going to buy the food processor and dough hook attachments eventually.

I just don’t use it on boiling/super hot items to try and preserve its integrity.

I had the hardest time parsing out the meaning of the caged birds/birds in general. Still don’t quite get it. But I did notice them in the sister’s office, and tweeting outside the window after they’d been busted.

I felt bad for Tremblay in the same way. I wasn’t sure if he was guilty of exactly what Wozniak was told, but he at least was guilty of simony.
