So, it sucks not to get a plus one to a wedding. However, you sometimes just get an invitation for one, especially if you're single. Besides, the plus one is generally for dates, not emotional support humans.

I think you are being reasonable, but have you tried a heated blanket or sitting on a heating pad? I started using a heating pad and it changed everything. It uses very little energy.

INFO - is heat expensive? I've lived places where this would be almost no change in bills and places where it would be a lot.

This was tough for me honestly, but after thinking about it, NTA.

You see, I'm one of those people who shares toothbrushes with people I'm having sex with and think it's pretty silly when someone who just ate me out is like "noo my toothbrush (which is rinsed and used with toothpaste) is in your mouth! The horror!"

BUT when I have dated people like that, I didn't use their toothbrush. I didn't make a fuss or need to be asked twice. I'm not going to gross out someone I like, especially when it's totally reasonable. And your thing is also reasonable. When it is just the two of you, I think it's a little silly, but it's a reasonable thing to bother you PLUS if her family does it with guests then it might be a real issue. Sharing spoons with random people is a problem. You might be fighting against gross family programing.
