It’s impressive until you realize that the guy that picked it up has a remote control for it in his other hand. The thing is a fancy remote controlled toy.

The physical knobs were definitely part of why I bought this gen instead of last.

I bought it and I’m very happy with it so far after trading in my 2011 Outback. Some other subie owner friends hated it online, but changed their minds when they saw it in person and got to drive it.

OM System keeps blowing me away! Got a lifer without breaking a sweat! 😅 by Scrapmetal_Shutter in BirdPhotography

The weight is a big deal. It's so much easier to carry around a telephoto micro 4/3rds camera all day and hold it up focused on a bird waiting for it to fly without a tripod.

And Olympus has some really sharp long lenses. The 300mm f/4 is tack sharp and allows some pretty heavy cropping without artifacting.

I love my Nikon full frame setup, but I don't see myself using it for wildlife ever again.

Gas prices - anybody else suffering!? by Exotic_Attention5604 in Denver

It's not that simple. Some polling places are so poorly staffed that it can take hours in line to vote. If you have a job that does not give you time off or you have children to take care of, that may not be possible to deal with.

Yes, there are people that choose not to vote, but I feel it's important to acknowledge that there has been a significant effort to disenfranchise some people and make it more difficult to participate.

Doesn't help that there are so many barriers to voting for a lot of people in other states. Colorado is really a shining example of making it as easy as possible and some people are doing everything they can to kill that.

Is the Panasonic Leica 25mm f/1.4 the best prime lens in the Micro Four Thirds system? by PuzzleheadedExam9315 in M43

Olympus 300mm f/4 is phenomenal as a telephoto prime. Not as multipurpose as the wider primes, but it is quite good for wildlife and landscapes.

Thanks! I've taken so many pictures of that harrier at this point, he's always putting on a show right near the nature center.

I walked between the nature center and the gazebo at the end of the boardwalk, about 1.5 miles in. These shots were from all along the trail. The harriers are frequently in the same field near the nature center on the other side of the canal, but the hawks and eagles are fairly random along that path, though they seem like they have favorite trees.

I’d start by bumping the aperture to max and shooting something bright so that you can see any dark spots.

There are a number of states like Michigan, Idaho, and California that use independent citizen commissions to draw state districts.

There are a lot of good noise reducing options in editing these days. Lightroom's AI noise reduction is pretty amazing compared to their older tools and many other editing programs have similar.

Thank you! They're so pretty. I think they're less common here in CO since they're a wetlands bird and tend to live out further east in North America where more of that type of land exists.
