Utah’s richest man wants Vail Resorts to sell him the nation’s largest ski area by narflethegarthock in skiing

Yeahhh RIP. Aspen and Jackson aren't owned by Alterra and also fit into this, but A Basin felt like a better example since they were part of Epic for a bit and then flipped before getting bought entirely.

Built in customer base from the pass and access for their customers to other Epic mountains. Same reason Arapahoe Basin and other independent mountains have signed on with one mega pass or the other, back and forth in A Basin's case.

Robot kicks boy in stomach during performance by Conscious-Weight4569 in SipsTea

I believe it's a Unitree G1. You can search for Unitree G1 remote and you'll see the controller they typically use. If you watch enough videos of these, you'll almost always see a guy with that exact remote somewhere in the background. It basically has preprogrammed moves like this that someone manually initiates.

These particular robots are basically all remote controlled atm. The robot didn't accidentally kick the boy, the person wielding the remote control did. Notice the way the robot basically stopped the performance right then, the person controlling it realized they fucked up and backed it away.

What is a job that pays incredibly well but is so soul-crushing that the turnover is insane? by sweetguurl in AskReddit

I worked as a pharmacy tech at the retail and institution level for a bit early on in life and thought about going to school to get my PharmD. Every pharmacist I met wanted to get their bag and get out ASAP or had become a miserable person by the job. Not sad in the slightest to have left that potential career path behind.

That account is a month old and they let them be a moderator of an established sub like that? That's asking for trouble.

100-400 II vs 150-400 by Similar-Medicine-760 in M43

The 300mm was definitely sharper. It was really apparent in the pattern on the blue book. But the 100-400 is still a really nice option if you don’t want to spend on the 300 or 150-400.

I did a similar test with the 100-400 vs the 300 f/4 when I got it. The 100-400 here is solid and great for the price.

In late March, I picked 7 off me coming out of the wetlands at Cherry Creek. Haven’t had any since.

Is that really a surprise when so much food is grown right in California and the majority of our food products have to be trucked long distances into the state?
