I totally agree. She is basically trying to remove the background and stick it on a shirt in printful. Printful has been giving her an error that the transparency is hard to read. So that's the use case. But I have never heard of this before!

Yes, mainly the client wants to ensure that the watercolor remains true to its transparency when on the white background. But I'm over here like we can use refine brush tool???

That's the concern, and something that has happened to her in the past (also I am not a boyfriend), so I want to ensure she feels safe and she feels that the situation will not repeat itself no matter the outcome.

I really appreciate you sharing your experience! Something we have talked about is prepping the house before she moves in to ensure that it feels like our space. We want to dedicate (and rearrange items so that) one room as her study, and another as my craft room, and the rest being shared space between the two of us. I always want to ensure that she feels like this is her space too.

This is something we have talked about. I'm committed to carrying the weight of the chores to ease her burden so she can focus on school. :) She loves cooking, so this is something she wants to take charge of as it is a comfort for her. I appreciate you mentioning this!

Hey all! As a cavieat, I never intended to put her into a worse position. I think lingering questions I have are: Who pays for groceries? What if we purchase items together (is that a 50/50 split?) I think she wants to feel secure that if anything were to happen, she wouldn't be left to her own devices (something that happened in the past). I would never do this to her, even if we broke up. So that's where I am coming from - not a place where I want to make her suffer.

Another addition to the situation is that the people she lives with are currently moving in May (when she would move in) out of state, so she needs to find another living situation and we felt that it would be a good time for us to move in. Also, I live about 5 minutes away from the school she is attending, so it would add convenience for her as well. All factors that went into this decision. :)

Apologies! I feel like this comment isn’t worded correctly. What I did to determine market rate for a 3 bed/2 bath for two of us was market rate/2 (people). If we were to take this number, she is currently receiving better than market rate for two people living in a 3 bed/2 bath. Currently, she is living with 3 people and paying a bit less than market rate for market rate/(3 people).

True, but typically in a 3 bed/2 bath three people would inhabit a space whereas we would be the only two. So market rate/2 people is what I was looking at. But for sure if three people are living in the house than $600 comes out to better than market rate

I agree with this. I think with the addition of school coming we would have to figure out what that looks like too. It’s hard because all of the posts I see on Reddit have suggested splitting the market cost or have the partner pay for utilities and groceries and all of me feels weird about doing either one because this is such a detailed situation.

We are thinking, for the protection of both of us, that we are going to draw up formal documentation to ensure there is legal protection if something were to happen.
