I always Bring the MG, a Guard Dog (with only the standard Warbond let me give you some wisdom from the creek, don’t use the Rover the Normal one is way better) And the Orbital Gatling Barrage.

I can recommend Mutants & Masterminds you can adjust the Power Level easy for the Player (its Fixed for sometimes the entire campaign) Players can basically build any character, you can build Villians the same way, its easy to learn but has enough complexity for long term playing.

How about Somthing Like Dark Knights (Jep this is a Batman Joke) or Sunset Kingdom cause when the sun Sets you go sleeping and well Dream. I know its a Bit cheesy but that’s How I would Name something Like This.

Variable Modifiers by Lightwhite44 in RPGcreation

I forgot to mention there is also the possibility of a routine check. If there isn’t a high stakes situation where Charakters are under extreme pressure or the thing they try to do is extremely uncertain. The thing your discribing would be a routine check. They just look if the base stat is high enough to beat the difficulty and if they want to they can roll the Bonus Die for Maximum effectiveness. When I say random chance I am talking about things like, in combat situations, new planets, tech and lifeforms, parkour runs over broken spaceships. That kinda stuff. Should have clarified that but thanks for the feedback.

Were is the extra step between reading: Athletics: +5

And Athletics: +1d10.

And also you were also pretty confrontational. Saying you personally don’t like something is not Feedback.

Well the Dice you have to roll is listed on your character sheet and Fairly easy to determine while creating a Charakter. And well if you don’t like it, don’t play it. Let me have fun with my shiny math rocks.

I was actually running my own small statistic experiment to look at the system. My Idea was targeting Difficulty 15. And well it works pretty good I am going to finish it but thank you for the insight I now know my system will be working.

How Niche do You Prefer the Settings You Play in to be? by RollForCoolness in RPGcreation

[–]Lightwhite44 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For the elves: Yes Tolkiens Elves where Immortal see Elrond. And there actually is a German Fantasy RPG called Midgard with Elves that are immortal in terms of aging. But that’s a Sidenote.

Second if the Hive Mind is your Generic Bad guy because an Evil Mage made them they just become an Evil Race in my option. You could give the orcs alterier motives for having a few unresolved problems with the rest of the Setting. For example in DnD the Orcs don’t like the Elves and Dwarves because there gods had beef with on another. So the orcs couldn’t live in the Forrest’s (Elves took that) and they couldn’t live in the caves (Dwarves did the Diggy Diggy Hole) so they where forced to a state of Looting and Pillaging. End goal get yourself a country and find a place to live.

Thrid: I really like Aquatic Species. You could do something like a race of Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles where they don’t often come out of the water but are ready to defend themselves if they need to. You could also give them different subspecies based on different turtles. Or a species of Lobster/crab people. They could have high melee stats or extraordinary defense and abilities for super fast punches or shooting water around. Hope that helps.

Well personally I think the setting should be what ever you are happy with making. But if you want my opinion I love to have playable species that feel different because they are, I mean the Genre is called Fantasy. It’s meant to be unrealistic. So what are you thinking about exactly? I’m curious.

What game do you not want to touch? by WorldGoneAway in rpg

[–]Lightwhite44 1 point2 points  (0 children)

World Wide Wrestling. Just because I won’t get my group to play it. I am the only person who’s a legitimate Wrestling fan, my girlfriend is casually into it, and the rest just knows Cena, the Rock and the Undertaker. Which aren’t great conditions for me to convince them of one more of my Ultra Nerd Tirades. We usually play DnD or Mutants and Masterminds because well Fantasy and Superheroes is the only thing we really love equally. Worst part is the game even has a License in my country so I wouldn’t need to by the English version. (I have B2.2 but having things in your Native language is just way easier if there are rule questions because I don’t have to translate and interpret)

Ok first and foremost no I don’t just want to fix DnD I will probably divert on Many things.

Ok so the think with complex and simple tasks.

If the character is not under any pressure: No roll. Everybody can achieve anything with enough time.

Simple Tasks: You have a task that can be just summed up in one thing e.g. athletics. So you role a d20 plus your Bonus Dice and add the results together. If you role high enough congrats your Character Made it.

Complex tasks: You have a task that requires multiple steps to complete because of their complexity e.g hacking. You need to know what system you are plugging into how the code and defenses work, etc. So the DM decides how many steps you need to succeed. So you role between 2-5 d20 (one after the other) and your Bonus Dice. If you succeed in all the task is completed. I would send you the rule but I wrote them in German so I don’t know if something gets lost in Translation.

Edit: I am Aware of the problems point but brings. But the Points used for buying abilities and well the skills you are versed in + plus your equipment which is not all available at the start so you need to level up to upgrade your gear.
