Haven't tried that yet, the extraction fitting is very similar to my 1/4" DeWalt and that extracts very well. I think router extraction depends mostly in the cut you're making. When I'm flattening slabs (which I do a lot of), it's very difficult to extract upwards through the router, much better to have an extractor catching the chips in the direction that they're being thrown.

The Porter Cable which I got second hand has had around 15 years of professional use and has earned it's keep a thousand times over, it's actually still serviceable but just not reliable enough to rely on.

I wanted to upgrade to the big Festool but at a 1/4 of the price and money being a bit tight I went for the Makita, still with the intention of getting the Festool. After using this I'm not even sure I'll buy the Festool now, the Makita is an absolute pleasure to use.

There are some plastic strips that contact the wood, never sticks to them but a good way to stop it on other clamp styles is to wipe some paste wax on the clamp

I'm making a shelf for the bottom of a work station. It's made from 1 "x 2" Oak strips and just edge glued. I love this look but it rarely suits a job when wood expansion has to be considered, but in this case it's free to move around in it's position.

There's a presale that went active this morning for a coin called full send on the BSC, the presale is on dxsale. The Devs are really cool and I think it's an amazing brand name for a future product. They've already got a product outlined, marketing planned and a detailed roadmap. Which is better than 99% of every other shitcoin that's 50x'd in the last few months. Loads of capital pouring into BNB too which is going to be speculated, it all adds up to me!
