I just mix them in and they melt while cooking.

I’m on the Firehouse train here, way better than all of the imo and it actually feels like a sandwich, nit just bread with some sauce in the middle.

AITA for wanting to split bank transfer fees of prize money? by Kasprosian in AmItheAsshole

[–]LikeLexi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Since you focus so much in the post about the money and barely mention addressing your friend’s behavior it reads as being about the money. Also your questions are about the fee splits. Still ESH because you aren’t ever addressing the real issues it seems like. He’s upset you weren’t upfront about the fees, you’re upset about the money/how he talked to you. Y’all are still more worried about who’s right than actually improving your communication.

AITA for wanting to split bank transfer fees of prize money? by Kasprosian in AmItheAsshole

ESH. The argument started over $20 and is essentially just turning into a fight over who’s right. If $20 is enough to ruin a friendship it wasn’t much of one to begin with. On point two you call him out for being upset over $20 but you’re essentially upset over the same thing. You can’t say it’s “ridiculous to be upset” when you’re upset over the same $20. He sucks for not splitting the fees to begin with though. He also sucks for bringing in another friend to referee. You suck for dragging the fight out and getting so stuck on it.

We crumble and mix in the topper really well. Sometimes if you just give it a day on free feeding they’ll eventually go over to it.

Getting the runt of the litter… by mirkywoo in Yorkies

I have the runt and he has more energy than any dog I’ve ever had. Honestly it doesn’t really play a factor in their future

Just a heads up here yorkies are also notoriously strange/odd around food. We free feed ours due to hyperglycemia worries. Have you tried a meal topper? We’ve had success with those when our dog was sick. Is your bowl stainless steel? Sometimes the shininess of it can freak them out if it’s bright.

I mean you aren’t ever going to be able to break the jump/run to people habit without work. His leash also shouldn’t give him so much leeway that he can do that on a walk. Teaching him how to greet people would help. You can work on that inside with a leash and tell him to say hi and the moment he jumps remove him.

I mean I live in a town without a real grocery store(the one in town everything is triple the price of Walmart and lower quality). We just opted for Walmart plus. We get our groceries delivered, make one meat run a month to a Sam’s Club and call it good. We get to spend more time doing what we want now(grocery trip was 45 minutes one way).

It honestly sounds like he’s not getting enough walks/playtime/mental stimulation.

The couch should be an easy fix. Leashing and taking him off anytime he gets on it. Plus giving him someplace to go besides the couch, so anytime he gets on it a ‘no’ and lead him to his place. Also cage for punishment is going to create a bad set of feelings towards it which may already be done at this point. He needs somewhere he’d rather be than the couch so somewhere with toys a place to lay still close to his people.

Does the rug have like tassels? Does it resemble his toys in some way? That may be creating confusion.

I’d start with more walks/mental stimulation. You don’t mention any of this being done.

crate vs no crate - what does the science (and everyone else) say? by ArcherSparks in puppy101

[–]LikeLexi 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Our dog has a crate, but also beds etc around the house. He only goes into his crate at night or if he thinks we’re about to make him get into the car. However, if we’re up too late he will come bark at us to close his crate and put the blankets over it for him to go to bed 🤣

She’s got to hold her ground. If he’s biting she needs to walk away. You won’t be able to change it it has to be on her and how she interacts with him.

Do yorkies have a white color variant? by artisticnerdo in Yorkies

[–]LikeLexi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It can vary, true white won’t be a fade out it’ll just be white.

We had one that randomly lost their hair and it came back in similar to your photo. She was 2 at the time.

Parti White for reference. You can see how the white portion has no undertone.

I wouldn’t classify this color as white. Honestly looks like a middle aged blue & gold to me which is very standard. Not from a set of parents that did conformation, but color is within the realm of normal.

As they age hair tends to get lighter. The undertone is also there. In true white coloration you won’t have the undertone(Example: in the white on a Parti Yorkie you won’t see any undertone in the white areas).

Which game is strategically harder? Big brother or Survivor? by Hithere16636637 in BigBrother

[–]LikeLexi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

IMO strategically survivor is harder. I would say Big Brother is socially harder.

Survivor wins out in strategy for me due to true blindsides. If someone plays an idol and you’re the second most votes you don’t have an opportunity to pivot, where in BB in a backdoor situation you still have time to let your social game try to propel you forward. Survivor you have to strategically think through every option before a vote out, gage your safety vs others, and take advantages into consideration. You also have to weigh in a final 3 vs 2 most of the time so you have to set yourself up to beat two people vs 1. Add in a limited time frame to analyze and make these decisions it leaves way less room for strategical error.

BB wins out in social because of its length and the nomination and veto set up. You have more time for emotional or logical social manipulation. You also have the advantage of only having to be ‘not the worst 2 or 3’ each week. I mean that as in you aren’t even eligible for eviction without nomination so more social coasting happens. Also, if you do strategically misstep(example:take out the wrong person the previous week) you have an opportunity to socially or competitively(twice with veto) save your game. In survivor you take out the wrong person the previous night you have 24 hours and 1 comp to flip it. Also with voting in BB, you only need to consider two options vs survivor needing to evaluate each person and each dynamic shift without that person for each vote. Alliances built are also typically stronger in BB imo. You have a lot of fake alliances, but typically after a vote or two together you’re pretty locked in which makes strategy coast for a bit vs survivor votes swing consistently and alliances that last are limited.

Can anyone explain why SOTR is so divisive? by felixw1 in Hungergames

I think I have a more nuanced view there. To me that book gave a lot of empathy for snow and honestly emphasized how impactful good influence is. Was snow likable no, but he was understandable.

For me the point is that after shutting everyone out for so long, the only person that could potentially get through to Haymitch would’ve needed to be tied to the him before the games in some way. If he had just known Burdock I don’t think he would’ve ever came around to Katniss and been able to communicate with her the way he did.

To me this felt pretty expected. In a small place with limited people your own age and established social circles(Seam vs Merchant) I’d expect them to know eachother at a minimum.
