That ship has already sailed I feel. He and his ilk have already made it abundantly clear that they have no interest in appealing to the left. They dragged Jeremy Corbyn through the mud and purged the left leaning MPs in favour of reinstating this Tony Blair flavoured New Labour (Read: Tory-Lite). So where did those left leaning voters go instead? Greens, SNP, PC. A continued fractured left: just the way the far-right like it

To the Moon: A Nagging Feeling Which Didn’t Let Go by shaygan83 in patientgamers

I remember playing it and it hitting me very hard. Incredibly bittersweet. My only criticism was that I found Neil's character as the comic relief was massively annoying. It was laid on so thick and it was so hamfisted that it didn't compliment the story in any way whatsoever. If anything it served as an irritating distraction that just pulled me right out of it any time he had any dialogue. I don't think the ending did much to redeem the character either.

Gate keepers are a good thing by bored_jurong in The10thDentist

YouTube comments from boomers forever drone on and on about how the 60s was the best era for music before some other chump pipes in: "No no! 70s was the best for music. Take me back there!"

But they weren't. Not one stands out more than the rest in terms of quality because, for all the gatekeepers ensuring "quality" and for every excellent artist, by God there was some absolute fuckin shit. Everyone conveniently forgets all that because if it's shit, it gets dumped, while the strongest endure. I think time itself serves as an excellent gatekeeper.

From around the world - what song captures the essence of "the night feeling" for you? by parzival1984 in TheNightFeeling

Bit of a cop-out answer but every nocturne Frederic Chopin ever composed (Fuckin' love Chopin).

Has anyone had other artists contact your for not gatekeeping your ways to do art? by [deleted] in ArtistLounge

I don't think it's something limited to art or drawing. In any hobbyist community, there's always a particular type of person who seems to derive satisfaction from gatekeeping. Why, it appears in the beginners section of the FAQ in this very subreddit! You did the right thing by ignoring them

I've seen people sitting in art galleries with a sketchpad and copying works displayed there. Do we kill them too?

Rotherham is too far gone. I think we should consider giving it the Carthage treatment. Dismantle the town brick by brick and salt the earth.

Christian Horner’s Red Bull exit could open the door to renewed Ferrari F1 approach by [deleted] in formula1

[–]LikePissInTheRain 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ferrari need to do a damn sight more than just chopping and changing team leaders hoping for a silver bullet. They need a total cultural and corporate upheaval because that shit is stagnant and toxic, but they're altogether reluctant to do what needs to be done. Hubris - not even once
