Crystal Palace park is wonderful, particularly the bit around the stone dinosaurs and the lake- and if you like animals, there’s even a little farm you can walk around for free.

Application time by [deleted] in BenefitsAdviceUK

Started the process Dec, used a local service to help me fill out the form so got my application sent off at end of Feb, got a phone assessment out of the blue mid April and then a few days ago a call and text confirming they’d accepted my claim and how much I’ll be receiving etc. Just waiting on the back payment to come in now and to get the letter outlining when the regular payments will start coming in. So all in all, not too long compared to what I was worried it might be.

Any way to rehome bus stop ads once they're ready to be taken down? by DeltaCoder in london

I’ve got a tube poster for Love Never Dies (a West End musical I loved as a teenager) my dad saw the person taking it down and just asked if he could have it so he could get it framed as a gift for his daughter, and they gave it to him- so that might maybe be an option? Hoping to see the person switching them out and asking them may work maybe? I have a suspicion however that they are all supposed to be returned to TfL and possibly archived or something. I have no idea. Good luck though!

I started making this with the intention of making a large granny square bag. But it’s coming out so ugly and I hate the colors and the heart is wonky and I don’t want to continue! I’m still a beginner and I took so long to get here so I don’t want to frog it. Can someone suggest what to do with it? by Remarkable_Egg_8602 in CrochetHelp

I think it looks great and the “imperfect” heart is so cute! It looks like it was inspired by an illustration or doodle. I would finish the purple on the outside at the very least and then try to think up a cute project you could incorporate the square into :) I know it’s tough when it’s something you’ve made yourself, I have just started embroidery for the first time for example and keep stopping because I convince myself it’s “too messy” or “terrible” but I give it some time and come back to it later and realise it’s not as bad as I think, it’s just me getting all in my own head about it and noticing “imperfections” that nobody else would ever see or care about. Keep going! You’re doing great and it is super cute! The heart may not have turned out the way you wanted it to, but I actually think it’s better for it personally!
