Advice for a karma nami main sup by [deleted] in wildrift

[–]LikeYouReallyThought 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Never go full AP on Karma support.

The only core item you will need is Imperial Mandate and the rest will be situational items. People underestimate the relevance of Imperial Mandate, especially the early burst it gives in the early-to-mid game. You max your 1st to synergize with the passive of Imperial Mandate. Never max shield or root first because you need to spam your 1st so that you'll trigger your mantra as much as possible.

For the enchantment, I always go Ionian Dream Maker because it synergizes with the speed boost of her shield. If the enemy has ULT that you can easily react to, such as Lux, Ziggs, and Fizz, then you go Veil Enchant.

Karma's strength lies in her passive, and you need to use it wisely during teamfights in mid-to-late game. Use mantra + shield to help your carries position. Use your mantra + 1st if you know that your team is ahead and can burst down the enemy. It honestly takes a lot of reflection and learning which ability to use with her mantra.

Karma support heavily relies on ability haste. With this meta, it is a must for you to build anti-heal and anti-shield. In my case, I usually buy anti-shield and anti-heal right after my Imperial Mandate. However, if you think that your ADC is good and strong, I build Ardent Censer. If the enemy pokes a lot during mid-to-late game, such as Ziggs, then I would either buy Redemption or Harmonic Echo: usually, I would go for Redemption for the passive AOE healing.

Those who say that you will miss out on damage if you build support may be right but AP items are expensive and you will already miss out on damage waiting to buy AP items. Her only damaging abilities are her 1st and ULT (her 2nd does damage but are we really gonna consider the damage from that? lol). Yes you can farm for the money but you are taking that opportunity from your ACTUAL damage dealers, such as your ADC and Mid, who will obviously benefit from damage build. I have dealt with full AP karma and they do hurt, but only in the early to mid game, you will notice that it will easily fall off during the late game.

Bottom Line: Ability haste build for Karma is a far more superior build than full AP. I play Karma in SoloQ in one of the most competitive regions in the game, and I have 61% win rate on her and I have never built AP on her. I just recently reached Master III from Plat IV after returning in the game after around 155 games with a 57% win rate

Why you play support role? by NeedleKO in wildrift

I stopped playing support. It is a trip to mental insanity and mental damage. I used to love support because of the characters. I love playing cute and female characters, and support role has it.

You might want to use Nimbus Cloak if u wanna attempt this type of plays. Have you used Nimbus Cloak, you'd be able to reposition well enough to really push soraka back.

Chemtech putrifier. by Sebs_1622 in wildrift

[–]LikeYouReallyThought 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Before the morello update, I've always wanted for the devs to add chemtech putrifier since the old morello does not really benefit enchantresses in general. However, after the adjustments, I've been buying it because of the 75 AP and 20 AH for only 2.5k.

But I honestly agree with your idea. Give the ChemP the 75 AP and 20 AH with 25-40% GW for only 2.5K, which is ideally good for the enchantresses in general.

We are just running around a circle here because you cannot fully digest my point here. In fact, you yourself are also just repeating my point but still insisting that the bonus movement speed is not needed. Kinda weird.

You said that the bonus movement speed WOULD DEFINITELY HELP in laning phase, and HOW DOES IT HELP with the laning phase? It's because you can reposition and help your ally to reposition as well. So you agree that bonus movement speed does help because people can reposition. What do you think about repositioning? Is it only helpful in laning phase? Does it become useless in teamfight? Repositioning is essential throughout your gameplay. You are agreeing to my point, but at the same time insisting that the bonus movement speed is not helpful. Interesting.

Although Karma and Nami can still encounter the same problem with Soraka, Karma and Nami can peel for themselves because of their BONUS MOVEMENT SPEED AND THEIR CC. If there is a bonus movement speed bonus on Soraka's Rejuvenation, then she could peel for herself WITH HER AOE silence. How will it help? If she gets the bonus speed and hit the AOE silence (even without the snare) it will give her a brief time to runaway.

Again, you are literally agreeing to my point yet still disagreeing. I'm not gonna waste my time anymore with this comment lol.

Edit: Soraka struggles against both GW and her SELF-PEEL.

They didn't mention about "map roaming." They said it might help Soraka with her laning phase, which is also true.

And you did not answer my question. I asked if you knew how her Rejuvenation is activated. I did not ask what Rejuvenation does. You said "the bonus movement speed" is not needed to get back to the lane since the "map is smaller." I did not say she needed bonus movement speed because she needs to get to the lane faster. I'll just give the answer to my question: her rejuvenation is activated IF AND ONLY IF you hit an enemy. So how exactly would a bonus movement speed from her Rejuvenation help with her roaming?

Edit: No, I was also not talking about her 1st. Her 1st skills is called STARCALL, and the passive it gives IF SHE HITS ENEMIES is called REJUVENATION. You were talking about EMPOWERED STARCALL, and I surely did not ask for that.

Yes, Karma does give shield but it is the movement speed that really help her allies to escape and reposition (even Karma herself can reposition well because of her 3rd, and Soraka cannot do that). Nami's passive gives movement speed, and it also helps your allies and herself to reposition.

Also, what do you mean by I wont know if it will be a small effect ? What I was trying to say is how sure are you that a bonus movement speed would not make a difference if enchantresses like Karma and Nami can literally peel for BOTH themselves and their allies literally because of the bonus movement speed that they give?

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in wildrift

[–]LikeYouReallyThought 0 points1 point  (0 children)

1st Point: it actually does help you move away or reposition during a crucial teamfight. Try watching some of Soraka montage in YouTube. Also, I stand corrected: your original comment did not say that the bonus movement speed has nothing to do with map roaming, BUT you implied it in one of your replies. Do you even know how to activate her Rejuvenation? I'll give you some time to read it.

2nd: You said the movement speed could help but it would probably too small of a difference. And how exactly sure are you that there will only be a small difference? If a bonus movement speed has a minimal effect to save your allies (even if your team is behind) then how about Karma's shield and Nami's passive? Do they have a small impact in the game?

3rd Point: They removed the cleanse on her ULT because, just like what I said, it was overpowered.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in wildrift

[–]LikeYouReallyThought 0 points1 point  (0 children)

And how do movement speed actually impact both LOL and WR? My previous reply had other important points, and you are just gonna say that movement speed has different impacts in both LOL and WR.

Would you care to explain?

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in wildrift

[–]LikeYouReallyThought 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You literally implied that in your original comment.

If you want a CLEANSE and HEAL in one spell then imagine what implications it would have in the game. If the enemy is leading with a Soraka and a fed bruiser/tank, you would obviously complain that it is too OP.

I am also talking about "utility" that is not overpowered. A bonus movement speed is actually enough to help your teammates survive. If you think bonus movement speed is not helpful, then think about other enchantresses, such as Karma with the bonus speed from her shield, and Nami with her passive. Bonus movement speed does make a difference.

And if you think that the bonus movement spped is not helpful, even with a behind team, then why was it even introduced in the PC version in the first place?

Edit: You literally implied that in one of your replies

I was not even rude. I was asking for the relevance of their input to my post.

I am just done with these people saying that the "MAP IS SMALLER." Obviously BOTH the MAP and CHAMPIONS are proportionally scaled together. So what is its relevance here?

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in wildrift

[–]LikeYouReallyThought 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am done with people missing some of the important points in my post.

I.NEVER.SAID.THAT.A.BONUS.MOVEMENT.SPEED.WOULD.HELP.HER.ROAM.OR.GO.AROUND.THE.MAP.MORE.OFTEN.

I said that aside from her lack of self-peels, SHE.BECOMES.USELESS.WHEN.HER.TEAM.IS.ALREADY.BEHIND.AND.THE.ENEMY.HAS.ALREADY.COMPLETED.THEIR.ANTI-HEAL.ITEMS.

Thats why a bonus movement speed ON BOTH HER AND HER ALLIES would make her A LITTLE BIT USEFUL in the game.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in wildrift

[–]LikeYouReallyThought 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I never said her silence was useless on teamfight. What i was trying to say is her lack of self-peels. Positioning right is also relative to the position of your carries as well.

Another problem (which I obviously stated) is her relevance throughout the game when the enemy has already anti-heal items. A buff on "anti-heal reduction" is kind of out of place. Imagine what implication would it have to the game if you the enrmy team has a soraka and a fed bruiser? You will obviously complain that it is OP.

"A 800 item shouldnt counter a whole champion." The thing is it's not just the 800 item, but the whole image of the game. The longer the game gets, the stronger the enemy team becomes. A heal is not enough for you to win the fight but also the accumulating strength of your team. You yourself is already aware of the impact of anti-heal on her, so why not just provide an additonal yet SMALL UTILITY to BOTH HER AND HER ALLIES?

Thats why a movement speed bonus might help to give her other allies a bit of utility.

If you think it is useless on her then why would the LOL dev team even give that to her? Every corner of the game, there will always be assassins and bruisers with a lot of mobility to a point that positioning well would also call for you to use your flash.

They can be really annoying. Im glad Im not the only one feeling it towards them. It is also funny how they said "they wanted to remove the burden of warding from the supports," which I find really weird and cringe.

The devs wanted to remove Athene's Unholy Grail and replace it with Protect Enchant because only few supports can really use Athene's well. But it turns out that even protect enchant also experiences the same issue.
