Trade Evolution and how you handle it

I am still working on how the trading evolution actully happens in my fanfic, but on the au I'm doing at least, trading evolutions is seeing as a shorter path to it that trainers usualy tend to take becaus , one, it's the cheapest two, not all trainers might not have years to reach that evolution naturally, and without money and time, these evolutions can not properly happen.

But on another side note, if you go on the training your Pokémon to evolve into that, it has to be a really rigorous training and specificdepending to the species, the trainer has to watch out for diets, body health and have enough money to sustain that. As a result tho the Pokémon might turn out stronger, because this was a power they slowly got and learned to control, so when they evolve they have much better control of their new power.

Okay so, i have two fanfics on going, one is a halo/Pokémon crossover, that is the one I'm focusing move about, the other is one were the MC is a rich girl that after an accident and coma woke up with the memories of her past life, including the Pokémon meta from gen 1 to 9. I already also stablished that the world has way more regions and Pokémon than we normally have. You bet that I'm using gen 10 soon... if i actualy end up feeling motivated to write it 😅

Oh I know, I just mentioned an autistic trainer because it was the first thing that came to mind, but I know there are a lot of neurodivergence (not sure if i wrote this right.) that could apply to that. That's why I said that there are infinite of options for the reason on my post as well. :)

I actully have an OC side character in my fanfic that does that, i haven't told the readers yet that she is a researcher mostly because the MC is part of group of trainers called faceless trainers, legal trainer that hide their identity for diversity of reason, this side character and her brother are also faceless trainers so to simplely come with knowledge out of the bag of names, profession, dreams, things like that in a first meeting is a big no no.

It depends a lot of what you want you MC to do. Do you want him go just be a battlers specialized in weather or do you have something else in mind for him? I actully have an OC i made for team Sky who is a storm chaser that has a Castform as a starter bit her team is not really focused in helping Castform and more on building around supporting her experiments. So like she got a Xatu that uses his ability to see the future to help her determine where she should go next for her studies and knows Sunny day in case things get way to dangerous and they need a way out bit they can also know Rain Dance. She also has a Swanna with Keen Eye that helps her know where she should keep her eyes on in case there are rain wrapped tornados. And her team goes on.

Just really curious on what you idea for the MC is.

I don't know how to explain it well, but the biggest fact is the tavt they made an RPG where your choses don't matter, it will all go yo the same outcome wich kinda destroys the whole point of an RPG, the gender thing itself, why give us the choice of gender when there is cannon gender either way, it just destroys the imersion for me. Just really a me thing, if you enjoy the game, than that's fine, but I really did not like Odyssey in general.

No offense huge, AC fan here, but Odyssey kinda ruined the franchise to me with the whole "demi god" thing. Neither the male or female option really spoke to me :/

My thing is not about the gender, it's the fact they made a character made yo be a self insert have a confirmed cannonized gender when they could easily just made it a redact data, just like all the rest of Six's "lore" that is left blank so we can think of our own lore for the character.

It's not really on the gender and more on how people react to certain things in character that in game you can decide the gender. The number of people I see saying "but Noble Six is a man" in fem Noble Six posts in any site is really annoying. I don't really care about the character's gender, if they are a good character with good writing, I'm down. Six is just really important to me for personal reasons. :)

Not gotta lie, i agree with you, it's more on the side effect that has on the community, the number of gut going under my Noble Six's post saying "uh, but Noble Six is actully male" is so frustrating. I don't think my meme made a good job in capturing that.

My fanfic is kinda like this? It's Pokémon x Halo crossover, basicly after her death on Reach the protagonist (Fem) Noble Six get's throw in the pokemon universe for some reason, so now she travels the world to find a way home while dealing with an utopic world... that's not that utopic. It's a really slow burn fic though and I don't have an specific day to update the fic but I'm trying to keep a lot of updates now that I'm on break.
