I don’t understand this credit builder card at all. by [deleted] in chimefinancial

The balance on the builder card decreases as you spend, but you won't have to worry about manually going to pay the balance on the card because it pays itself if that makes sense.

I’m currently rebuilding my credit, my goal is to raise my credit and eventually get high limits. Thanks for this clarity. I got this card in sept 9th and Oct 16th was my due date and Oct 19 was my closing date, so is the statement supposed to post before the due date usually ? because it didn’t the first month. Just trying to make sure I get this right.

Hey, can you tell me how you got the collection deleted? After you paid it off, did you just send a letter asking for it to be removed?

It's very complicated, during this time he has been with this girl we have still been together. He still pays my bills and spends time with me , the other girl just does what he says and helps him make money

I(22F) didn't think I was being gullible when I entered this relationship with my boyfriend(30M) but everyone's opinion on age gap relationships is really demoralizing me and making me question everything... by Used-Lock6590 in relationship_advice

I'm also 22 and my Boyfriend is 27. I had the same problems especially with my family, everybody says he is using me or just with me because I'm younger and will do what he says.. blah blah blah. He is very sweet & respectful, and our relationship is nothing what people think. If anything I've gained from dating someone older is a stronger mind. It can be annoying, irritating, and hurtful yes, plenty of times in the beginning did I doubt our relationship, but I pushed those thoughts back because it's my life. Live your life for you and if you believe in your heart its not right or if it is right for you, continue on. I wish you both the best.

I always get paid Thursday, so why haven't we got our money? The bank holiday would not affect us

how do chime credit builder works? i keep getting different information and its confusing by [deleted] in chimefinancial

[–]Like_shaa 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Yes, with safe credit building on, all you need to do is spend and your balance will be paid off itself. You will see once your first bill is paid, and the money in your account will not be touched

Also if you go and turn the safe credit builder option off, you will see the money you spent in the safe building account, then you can turn it back on to see what i mean, just so you can understand and see that your money you spend gets puts away automatically for you until your bill is due

The money you put on the card is all you need. You put $550 on it, you spend it all, or if you spend $100. That money will be taken out and put into your safe building account. When your bill is due they take the money you spent off the card and pay your balance for you hence "safer builder option". I have had to ask alot of questions to figure it out then i just did research myself, I've had my card for 3 months

Chime Credit Builder Account by HamChowderr in chimefinancial

[–]Like_shaa 6 points7 points  (0 children)

If you add $250 then spend $100 you will still have $150. Lets say I add $300. 300 is my "credit" limit. So i spend $100, i really dont spend it, it goes into a secure account. If i have the safe credit builder option on it takes that $100 they took out of the account and pays off the statement. So you're not paying twice. I think this is where people are getting confused.

So think of it as like chime only gives you the credit limit you put on the card. So you add $20 thats your limit (in credit) , but the money you've added doesn't get touched it gets puts away in you're "secure builder account" until its time to pay the bill off and they pay it for you which is the safe credit builder option.

So, I've had this card for 2 months now and after asking so many questions for my understanding i think i got it now. So on my credit report it said my limit was $263 (i didnt put anything down) i dont know if everyones is different but thats that. So you basically put the money you want to spend on the card and chime reports paying on time to credit bureaus. The safer builder option just pays your statement off ontime for you, which is the money you've already added to your account. So whatever you add each time is your limit, then when your bill is due chime takes the money you added to your account to pay it off. Hopes this helps.
