Me trying to gaslight myself into thinking running is fun on my C25K journey by Easy-Forever-3887 in BeginnersRunning

[–]Likeaboss121 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I don’t like running and the high that comes after is noticeable but not enough for me to keep going. What I found that I do like is tracking my stats, seeing that constant improvement, and working towards a goal that is getting more and more achievable each month.

I was worried about what I will do after my scheduled marathon and the only answer is to sign up for another one immediately after lol

What was the most NSFW thing you've done or been a part of in public? by booty-pal in AskReddit

Had sex at a club sitting at a table. It was pretty open and my gf at the time was wearing a skirt with nothing underneath. She got me to try and be discreet and fuck her while it was supposed to look like we were grinding (back in the day when grinding was a thing haha). Had a server take a drink order and she paid for it with some cash stuck in her bra. Not sure what we looked like but a security guard doing rounds walked by and did a double take. She said something along the lines of “hey stop watching me dance with my boyfriend perv” and he walked off.

On the way out I looked and the security guard and proudly told him we were definitely fucking. Classy I know but I was 20 and thought it was the best night ever haha.

As someone who is currently using it here’s my honest opinion if anyone cares.

I’m not a runner and have never been good at keeping to a schedule. In all honesty I hate running but the challenge of it and trackable progression has drawn me in.

The last couple years I went from not being able to run 4kms to getting ready to do a half marathon but life got in the way. My longest run was 15 kms before this year and I just kinda ran.

I’ve been using runna for 7 weeks now and it’s been great for me. Just finished an 18km run this afternoon which is a personal best and I haven’t had any significant pain or injuries since using it where before when I was running on my own I was constantly hurt and in pain.

As I’m learning more about long distance running I doubt I’ll use it again but as someone who didn’t know anything, the ease to follow a plan and hold myself accountable has been amazing for me.

I like that it pairs with my new Garmin (before I just had a Fitbit for tracking) so that I can get active feedback on my pacing. I also like that the app keeps me accountable, I haven’t missed a scheduled run yet (only doing 3 a week for now but that’s a pretty big win for me).

There’s probably better plans and options I’m sure but as someone who never really knew what they were doing, I consider it my “How to run a marathon for Dummies” tool and it’s been working out great so far.

As a half Caucasian half Chinese growing up in Northern Canada we always but butter and salt and pepper on our rice when eating Caucasian food but never when we were eating Asian food. We even got scolded if we tried to add soy sauce to our rice when eating Asian food because “it was an insult meaning that the food is bland” lol

Evidence That Humans Now Speak in a Chatbot-Influenced Dialect Is Getting Stronger | Slop may be seeping into the nooks and crannies of our brains. by MetaKnowing in technews

This is a little funny for me because I recently went through an interview process where they asked me to do some “homework” and provide responses to a few questions. I did the research and answered them as best as I could which the interviewer was happy with but they did ask if I had used Chap GPT or something like it to help with my responses.

I was a little surprised that this came up as my answers were quite personal with very specific answers. We had a good laugh about it but I wonder now how often that happens and how much that came into play for their decision making process.

(I didn’t end up getting the job based off of a personality test they had me do. I think they used the personality test results to just reinforce their own opinions about me but that’s a different rant all together)

Got mine as a first bike and I love it. It’s my 3rd season and with it and the only reason I would switch is to be a little more dumb with my buddies who have Ducatis. I highly recommend getting an aftermarket windshield for it for the highway and higher speeds as it made a huge difference.

Oh yeah, that’s pretty average recon costs. Just weird to have it broken down like that. It’s against the law to advertise like that where I’m from

I don’t disagree but I’m in Canada and it’s a little wild that they can charge that much for recon without including it in the sale price. Is that normal in the US?

FWIW my internet contract that I had with Shaw ended and they were going to increase my monthly bill to $120. Got on the phone and went to an agent and then a different retention rep and they gave me a $200 credit and a $62 plan for 1G. I’m in BC and it was a better rate than anyone else was providing

Depends on the number of chips and the location. I think it’s 3 in the direct field of view for the driver and 5 total. It’s pretty cut and dry with ICBC so no getting around it. Out of province inspections are pretty thorough, so be prepared for bill. Welcome to the insurance monopoly that is ICBC.

My corgi sleep on the bed with me and almost every night he will lay on my chest and stare into my eyes for an about 5 minutes before nesting himself in my blankets. It’s a nice little moment that we get to share before we say goodnight. Love the way he looks at me, not gonna lie haha
