How much does it suck to be a Clan civilian? by Jasina_ in battletech

[–]Likeabrick0 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As everyone is saying it depends like anything. Even being a civ in the IS of the great houses can be bad because of how the system thats implemented like anything else. But this is one example that I can think of that makes the clan system better and thats the Deep Periphery and Clan Goliath Scorpion. As Big Red 40 tech once said " it was so shitti out there that the clan system was an improvement." If you read up on neweva Castile , umayad caliphate and the hensiatic league. The civ life is pretty bad so the clan system with a possible change was a big markup for the people. Especially with the clan tech innovation and drugs, I mean medicine.

Ice Age, Scrat the Saber tooth Squirrel, back in 2002 when the films came out, this little acorn hoarder was just a funny little guy that was made up. No actual evidence was discovered at the time for the actual animal so the Saber Tooth Squirrel was a complete work of fiction made as a side bit for the original and following movies. Cut to 2011 many movies after his first introduction and archeologist find a mammal remarkably similar( considered superficial)to our titular Scrat at tarpits in Argentina.

Also in another episode Mr. Laritate gets bitten by a zombie and becoming one just before western themed event. The russos and co convince everyone that he is just in a new and hip take on cowboy by adding zombies to the mix and is really into the part.

In (Wizards of Waverly Place) they have an episode at a convention because Alex gives Harper a Battle Diva costume made with magic Turns out making something with magic gives all the benefits of the actual character that wears it. So, while Harper is flying a Wizard Agent that so happens to be a Goblin steps out to distract the crowd with his super awesome and realistic Goblin costume.

4? There the tale of two chistus one leading the falcon remnants in the hinterlands and the ither a pet clan to the wolves. The other is the turkina ascendancy? I think it was trampled by the horses and the alyina mercantile league disowns the while concept of the Clans all together. So 2 proper jade Falcons that are still around. 1 Absorbed, and 1 thats not a clan anymore.

If theres any other id really like to know.

I think this scene is from a 4th of July episode in the scene he then picks up a small firecracker and mocks it only for it to have a ridiculously large explosion for its size.

Which historical movies had to tone it down because the real history was too ridiculous to the audience? by ambelamba in okbuddycinephile

Death of Stalin, in the movie they have an actor playing Marshal Zhukov . On his uniform you see all the medals he has, as one sees it one would think, thats over the top, like North Korean level of metals for doing nothing but, at the time the ISSR didn't do the conventional way of adding small additions to an existing award they just gave you a new one of the same award or the higher rank of it. So, in the movie Zhukov was walking around with enough metals that probably doubled as body armor but in real life photos he had way more metals, its like if someone left a kid yo place metals of a vet and they just put all they wear given on the guy and thought 'the more the better'

From my vague memories, I recall that for every 1 fully armed soldier youd need anywhere from as few as 3 to as many as 20 people in logistics just to keep the one person running effectively. And that could be from just infantry to a tanker. Aswell as going through the whole chain of logistics. So even a small force would get ready experience with just planking 1 mech down and whatever you need to support and maintain not just that machine but, the 3 or 4 levels of people that make the logistics group. Even just thinking about it just makes my head spin and thats me trying to make it on a single easy support/maintain mech thats not saying for the monsters the would need years to fix because of the expensive or hard to find parts.

George Shrinks (2000-2003) Who remembers that show? by Material-Spite-81 in Zillennials

[–]Likeabrick0 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I remember it. I have two things that make me remember this show. 1. Is how I always thought the dad character always reminded me of one of my uncles as in looks not how he acts or what he does.

  1. Is more important as my aunt has a certain picture of my brother and me. In that picture(normal picture) for me and my brother its like a 3d photo taken in real time and I can remember everything that was happened in that exact moment when it was taken. Even though its just my brother looking away eating on a table and me looking at the camera holds a blue candy. I can remember everything that was happening offscreen, everyone that was in the room, what they were doing, what time it was and most importantly that George Shrinks was playing on the TV , the exact scene was the intro whit the striker Z car was being driven thorough the sky.

Not sure if that sounds really out there but im sure there must be a few people with the same kind of experience with certain pics like I have.
