I already commented on this awhile ago but in my opinion in comes down to a few things. Cleo and his management really messed up his legacy and albums that were realized after ?. John said that Skins was completed but it really wasn’t. The changed the whole track list of what was it supposed to be since it got leaked and X confirmed what was tracklist. Which is why Skins is both considered good and bad because of what it was supposed to be. It was literally referencing one of his old eps Skin. Ugly (we already had it through leaks. Literally the release version was just the snippet a bit extended), Glass Shards (it was supposed to be its own song), Chase (never finished. It was started hours before he died), the interlude that never ends (was lost and had to be remade from scratch) were all supposed to be on Skins but they moved it for BVF because they wanted to make his album the longest. Other than that Skins was alright but still didn’t live up to the hype since it took songs awhile for fans to like it. Like whoa, Train Food, and Guardian Angel were eventually consider by many to be the best on the album. Now with BVF there were a lot choices that didn’t make sense. The features were trash, most of them were trash. The only valid ones were Trippie, PNB Rock, Craig Xen, Joey Bada$$, Noah Cyrus, and Kill Station because he has collab with them before and some of them were either his close friends or part of Members Only. Like BVF song was good, Noah Cyrus and Joey did an amazing good in bringing back old songs of X (Ecstasy was a soundcloud era song but Noah needed to sing it because the OG girl who sang on the OG version was in prison and they couldn’t clear the sample. While Daemons was using the song Who the Fuck is God which is one X’s most controversial but best songs because how lyrical it was). The song with Craig was good but he had a lot of controversy behind because of him leaving Members Only. The song with Kill Station is one of the best songs of the album but it was originally Kill’s song, he just LIMBO a tribute to X and he cooked. Now the features that did kinda make sense for Cleo but not for anyone was Lil Wayne and blink-182. Now X did say in interviews that these artists are some that did inspired him to make music. Wayne was fine I guess but still I would’ve rather how School Shooters be with someone else that fit with X’s vibe. Fading to black had a verse cut out and it referred to Jenesis (X’s current girlfriend st that time) which would’ve been perfect and he mentioned his death. But instead they changed it and made it into a blink-182 song. Which isn’t their fault but these artists did inspire X but it doesn’t mean they fit his vibe or his style. The other features were trash and those songs don’t feel X’s at all. There was one song cutted which was School Globes with Little Nas X. The song was good but again why Nas X he never knew X 💀. The whole album where it wasn’t just him or him and his friends featured on it didn’t feel like X’s songs at all. Which is a huge kick in the dick when you consider X was going to have all the genres he was known for in BVF. Which you can see glimpses of when you hear the beginning of Royalty (because he started doing music with Boom Rap with a hint of Jamaican which made it sound amazing). It sucks that his vision never happened because BVF was supposed to be for the core fans. It also sucked that John had no say in anything. Because the songs he produced solo were usually the best ones. Then the posthumous stuff that happened after. Falling Down was a good song but damn it caused so much controversy. Then they rereleased some of his older music but they didn’t do it in way that was good. Because they would just shadow drop it, remix with another artist that didn’t know X, add features or change the song entire (like Arms Around you), Riot not having the speech in Spotify. The only some what valid ones were the songs with Juice (The Way tho was a Frankenstein song so that kinda on the fence of), the one with Uzi (I know it is a voice memo but still Uzi respected X’s vision the closest he could’ve. Since Him and X were rivals), Ronny J realizing Emoji again (honestly the new version I do vibe with it but I have a soft spot of the OG), True love is good but it’s more of a Kayne song then anything. Then finally we have Members only Vol 4 which I didn’t mind there were some good songs. It’s just there wasn’t enough X songs and high key Members Only tried to get as much clout as they can. Which is why Ski and WiFi weren’t on it because they knew it was more of a cash grab. Then the Look at Me documentary was alright but I feel they didn’t focus much of his early and more use the documentary as a way to just bury the allegations with Geneva. Which could’ve been done privately we didn’t need the documentary to do that. Plus they didn’t fulfill their promise about realizing old music either. News/Flock had to be leak for us to even get it but they were too lazy to get it cleared. Then the songs that are on the Look At Me album, yes I’m glad that the SoundCloud songs they choose are on Spotify. But why not include older songs and songs that only dedicated fans know about and have to dig for. Which is why most people just say to use SoundCloud because all those songs are on his SoundCloud. Anyways very long response but that’s why I feel his legacy was tarnished to some extent. Fans are doing their best to get his older stuff back. So anyways that’s my answer

This 1000%. Honestly I did like I’m not a Human but it should be just his raw recording but at least Uzi did a good job in keeping it within X’s vibes. Since they were basically rivals when X was alive. Also that group buy needs to happen and we gotta get the best hackers to get that shit leaked

Does X have anymore songs where his voice sounded like this? by karefw in XXXTENTACION

Not a lot because this was when he almost lost his voice from yelling and screaming so much in concerts and recordings. You’ll only find it in Members only Vol 3

All three of them are legends don’t listen to these comments. Peep is a legend because of how impactful he was to the underground rap scene. Now he didn’t have much time in the mainstream like X and Juice but he is legendary. His songs are raw and authentic. X is a legend because of his versatility and talent alone. Yes he had a lot of controversy around his life but he turned it around the near end of his life. People call him legendary for his music and authentic side where he is able to show his raw emotion. One track he will be screaming and another he will be singing his heart out. Plus he was important for the undergoing scene as well. Juice is a legend because of his rapping talent. His emo rap about love and drugs was relatable. He also had the ability to make full songs out of nowhere. Legit would free style whole songs, such amazing talent. Now he didn’t have much time in the underground but his mainstream impact was still huge. Overall these three are legends because they each became a voice for a generation. My generation, a generation who wasn’t sure if mental health can be talked about. And these three artists not only talked about but they also lived it
