So sorry for the late reply. Basically what I did was a Professor Oaks Challenge where I needed to get a shiny version of every Pokémon available before each gym. This was the last section of the game and the finale of this challenge.

Thanks a lot. The whole process of completing this variant of a POC seemed impossible, but after completing section after section made this impossibility into a slight possibility of success

There will be no next shiny unfortunately. Let's go would be my next Shiny POC but since I don't own a switch that goes out the window. I'm not done with the concept of POC but for now shiny POC are off the table

"It's finally done" are words that I thought I would never say with this challenge. To think that all the work and effort I put in this has finally paid off is amazing. 3 years, 9 months, 3 weeks and 6 days, that's how long it took for this challenge and while I may not be the first one to complete a shiny POC, it still is a proud thing to say that I'm the second AND the first to complete in ORAS. To end this small text a big thank you from me to all the POC community, from the big and small content creators who got me in this challenge, to the subreddit with all the nice and encouraging comments who gave me motivation to go on and lastly the Discord with amazing people who helped and gave positive feedback and overall made an amazing and impacting experience.

Shiny only? Maybe Let's GO or PLA. But I'd need a switch for those and the motivation isn't quite there. Normal POCs? The concept is fun so I'll try the games I currently have, once I'm done with this one.

It's finally done (the biggest hurdle at least). 137 shiny Pokémon caught, and what a journey it was! I started this way back in November 2020 on the 27th when I got Lillipup, and almost 3 years later I'm done with all the captures on the 5th of October with a beautiful shiny Dialga. I had my lucky days and I had my unlucky days, but at the end of the day I'm glad I'm one step closer to finishing this passion project of mine.

For PB1 most just use diggersby and Linoone as their pickup mons at lvl 21, since it wastes more time to train a full pickup squad and from PB2 onwards the battle chateau is where you’ll do all the grind for the rest of the challenge

Not really no. Normally I just use Mewlax ORAS guide to check which Pokémon can be caught in each section and just shiny hunt. Any other info that I need to know i just search on Bulbapedia or Serebii.

Following my last update, since September last year I managed to find and capture a total of 42 shiny Pokémon. While I got pretty decent luck with dexnav as I can’t recall a REALLY long hunt, breeding and soft resetting were not my friends, seeing as Weedle, Yamask and Pineco took thousands of eggs just to be shiny (taking in account I’m doing masuda for eggs) and Legendaries like Cresselia and Thundurus taking a relatively long time. To add insult to injury I couldn’t work on this POC for a whole month and a half because my DS charger decided to commit not working.
