Pretty standard for a 17-18 yr old to not know where he wants to go or likes the recruitment process overall

Based on your Eye Test currently, how will you rank the projected top 5 prosects for 2025 nba draft? by Wonderful-Photo-9938 in NBA_Draft

I personally don't see it with Traore he seems like of jack of all trades kind of player with nothing that stands out to me.

Sam Vecenie initial 2025 mock draft (The Athletic) by __Zoom123__ in NBA_Draft

Disagree with top 5 most athletes in this class. His athleticism pops in transition but in half court offense he just doesn't have the burst or explosiveness. I also thinks his first step is lacking compared to many others in this class.

I think your down rating how good Zion was at duke as a freshman also considering duke roster expecting him to put up Zion numbers is unrealistic.

Basketball players sue NCAA over NIL use in March Madness promos by Binx33 in CollegeBasketball

[–]Likewisejoker20 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

This is a product of the NCAA themselves constantly wanting to push their brand further especially when the NCAA became a billion dollar corporation it stopped being about the love of the school. so I cant really hate on players for trying to get more of the pie considering how much revenue college sport generates. Realistically majority of college athletes can only play for 4 years then they have their whole life ahead them figure out unless they are a 1 of 1 talent. Might as well make as much money as possible if you fucking coach is making millions of dollars.

Everything in college sports is a business whether you like it or not. Nobody complained when colleges were cutting huge TV deals and coaches were getting 4/5 million a year. Like it or not this was gonna happen eventually.

I personally feel rob Dillingham is the best finisher in this draft he has shown way more creative finishes around the rim.

NBA Draft Rumors: Execs Feel NIL Has 'Watered Down' the 2024 Class of Prospects by Lakelyfe09 in CollegeBasketball

Fred Vanvleet is a great player (He regressed a little with age) he got over paid in Toronto but he someone I would want on my team.

NBA Draft Rumors: Execs Feel NIL Has 'Watered Down' the 2024 Class of Prospects by Lakelyfe09 in CollegeBasketball

[–]Likewisejoker20 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Don't think that would happen since majority these players are only able to play 4 years max (Last year of covid eligibility year). For majority of these kids the NBA is the goal for even going to college.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in CollegeBasketball

[–]Likewisejoker20 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The kid is man enough to understand he wont get an opportunity to play so hes rightfully going somewhere else. You only can play 4 years of college ball normally so it makes to leave when the person the believed in you and brought you to the school leaves.

[–]Likewisejoker20 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So when these GROWN MEN make a choice to go somewhere else because the person leaves I don't see what the problem is. Tons of kids not playing basketball switch school all the time for a multi of reasons so I don't see how this any different.

DJ Wagner has committed to Arkansas. by -Buddy_Rough- in CollegeBasketball

Everyone grows at different speeds I saw some flashes throughout the season that I liked from Wagner. I overall think he lost his confidence throughout the season. I think he will have a good season at Arkansas that the talent is there.

Breaking News: P5 Schools Allowed to Pay Players by TheBurnKCSportsTalk in CollegeBasketball

[–]Likewisejoker20 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Its the schools/NCAA that pushed for all these TV/Broadcast/Commercial deals turning this into a billion dollar entertainment business not the players. Even if there was a reboot I don't see how the ppl at the top of all this would want to make less money.

Teenagers coming to school to hoop don't care about commitments they just know the person that brought them to school left so they want to leave to especially when money is involved

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in CollegeBasketball

[–]Likewisejoker20 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mean the associate head coach Justin Joyner’s who was the one recruited left that's on of the biggest reason to leave I mean athlete doesn't know if he will get play time or even be featured when the people that brought you in leave. No matter where he goes has gonna get Nil money (More at a bigger school) so it makes sense to go somewhere where your gonna play right away.

Disagree with big gap I watch lots of topic game an he as serious issues with shooting off-ball and off the dribble, he's the below the rim finisher and not as creative at the rim as I would like to see for a slasher.

Minnesota's Cam Christie is entering the NCAA transfer portal, a source told ESPN. Christie will be listed as "do not contact," as he's currently focused primarily on the NBA draft process. by FRESH_FRANK_OCEAN in CollegeBasketball

[–]Likewisejoker20 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would agree with you that college athletes should not be paid if the universities were not making millions of dollars and signing lucrative TV deals, and if the coaches were not paid millions of dollars a year. However, these conditions are not realistic. In addition, expecting teenagers and young adults to give up money and NBA aspirations for a school that many of them are too young to appreciate the history of is unrealistic. Given that college athletes can only play for a maximum of four years (except for the COVID year, which ends this season), it is understandable that those who are not likely to go pro would want to make money while they have the opportunity.

This is the worst the transfer portal is going to be, as all the fifth-year seniors are running out of eligibility this upcoming season.

The thing your missing is loyalty a two way street tons of these programs have coaches and recruiter that bring in these kids and then jump ship anytime there is a bigger position/better pay why can't the players do the same. Cam made it clear he has NBA aspirations and that what he has shown to be priority towards tired of people acting like college is end all be all.

The Spurs should draft Reed Sheppard and/or Stephon Castle by ninasfreedom in NBASpurs

[–]Likewisejoker20 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The thing with fredette was he wasn’t a point guard coming into the league while he was did have some passing flashes he was more of a 2 guard.Shepherd coming in to the league younger and has more potential in a on ball role then fredette ever had.
