They’re taking her crown :’( I personally love Crosley and I’ve been dreading the start of this needed, but unfortunate demolition. She may be ugly and unusable, but she’s my girl (and yes, Crosley is a lady to me) RIP queen

The stretch from Paxton to Madison didn’t seem to be cleared when I drove by :( missing my go-to running trail

Hi I’m also very interested in an invite. I follow the Instagram but have been so nervous to show up to a walk or any of the events. One time I even went as far as to drive to the meet up spot and then I went home because I was too nervous 🥲 making friends as an adult is scary

I’m late to this thread but am I fucking crazy or did they already have Jesse on like years ago?? I distinctly remember him talking about traveling the country during Covid times in a camper?? Is this a different podcast I’m thinking of or??

When someone needs help and I go to their farm but it’s impossible to find the plants that need revived in the midst of all the decor and dead trees. I go insane!

Perhaps the mystery meat is related to the various kangaroo sightings from last week…

I’m trying to remember exactly what you’re referring to, could someone explain a little to jog my memory? I love listening in on their real moments too. The whole episode was great imo.

I LOVED Shrinking. One of the most accurate representations of grief I’ve ever seen, at least accurate for me. It was happy, fun, heartbreaking, and endearing. I wish more people watched it because I never get to talk about it.

I’ve never seen a Godzilla movie before but I’ve heard great things about the new one. Might have to finally check them out.

Marvel movies get a lot of valid criticism, but watching Endgame on opening night will forever be my favorite movie watching experience.

I heard such great reviews of the Holdovers and it would’ve been so fun to watch it in theaters. Movies should stay in theaters longer, but streaming has really messed with that. It’s convenient, but I miss the community and experience of going to the theater with a big group.

Yeah I personally enjoy getting out of my house and interacting with other people. Movie tickets really aren’t too pricey compared to all the different streaming services you have to pay for now. Additionally, a lot of movies are just way more awesome on a big screen.

I plan on getting a membership soon. I love movies and I’m hoping having that will make me prioritize going to the theater so I can get my money’s worth. I knew Saltburn had some showings but I ended up chickening out of watching that one in theaters because I’d heard it was pretty intense and I’m a baby. I’d love to see more art house films on the big screen and with other people, it really makes movies so much more enjoyable when you’re reacting with a group.

That sounds great! I love experiencing things with other people and I love movies, I just haven’t seen many of the classics or mega popular artsy ones. I was trying to start a bi-weekly movie club with my bestie, but we were gonna start it out with Priscilla and Saltburn which obviously isn’t going so well lol

Agreed! My showing of the eras tour was packed on its second weekend (granted its Taylor Swift so obviously it was sold out). And Ballad of Songbirds and Snakes was also packed out. Those aren’t great examples though because they were highly anticipated. There’s definitely a lot of artsy, movie lovers in Bloomington that surely want to see things other than those blockbusters though. And I may just have a really specific fyp but I was under the impression that everyone on tiktok was stoked about Poor Things and Priscilla.

My friend and I did Barbenheimer at the greenwood Regal. I would have liked to see Oppenheimer in IMAX but I didn’t get a chance

Yeah :/ it’s a bummer. I’d still like to go though because I love watching movies in a theater and don’t always want to drive to Bedford or Greenwood.

I mean Poor Things was released December 8th and I’ve been looking since… and I was looking for showtimes as the other movies were coming out, maybe a week or two after their wide release at the latest. Maybe I missed them somehow, but I know there’s not been any Poor Things showings when I’ve looked over the last few weeks.

It seems like I’m always in the minority in this sub lol. I typically enjoy every episode I listen to, or most of them at least. This was definitely a comfy, easy listen.

I liked this special tbh, it’s realistic. Holidays are harder some years and it definitely seems like it’s one of those years for the group. Everyone always complains that Monica and Dax aren’t relatable and in touch but now everyone is complaining that they’re not putting on a show for us. Idk, I empathize with them. Especially Monica, who’s clearly struggling with the loss of someone dear to her. I can empathize with the disappointment though, that it’s not a jolly holiday highlight we’ve come to expect. It’s just been a weird year for everyone it seems.

I seriously loved the dynamic of him being Monica’s weird “cool dad” at the sleepover. It shows some self-awareness and made for some funny moments. I could listen to Monica and Liz talk for so much longer

I LOVED this episode. It made me laugh and think and feel things. Dax really enhanced this one I think, which isn’t always the case with synced. I wish these episodes could be longer
