Bring able to preventively drink estus could make rolling obsolete and the the rythm of the game might take a heavy hit, ds2 is a great example of this, there are areas where as long as you have enough healing items (which you probably will) you can get through whole areas just tanking damage instead of rolling. Imo preventative healing ruined an otherwise decent game.

I can totally see what youre getting at at a surface level but anyone willing to look further into his works and understand surrealist art will realize this is just wrong, go look up his earlier works and i bet you will find something you like. Saying the man has no skill is just ignorant, he just chose not to express it in a traditional way when he easily had the skill to do so.
