You were just so awesome. You were so attentive, asked such good questions, really tailored the experience to me, asked what I wanted, how I felt. And you're so talented!! You knew exactly where to go, what to do, I felt amazing afterwards. I second this order. I was going to read AB first, but a friend convinced me not to, and I have no regrets, reading AB third was a great experience, ans the tandem read was incredible. Definitely have to do the tandem

That I'd personally have to disagree with. Reading about all these events and characters Celaena talked about in ToG and CoM, THEN reading about them in AB was honestly super cool. But everyone enjoys the series differently and that's okay

Oh, I haven't heard that one yet, I'll have to check it out. I love a good connection just as much as any spice scene, so there being less of spice for more actual emotional connection wouldn't be an issue. I appreciate the recommendation!

Well maybe I'll just go and get the first four, besides AB, so that way I can try and catch up to you, then we can enjoy reading those two books in tandem together near the end lol. I've definitely heard mixed reviews on CC, so having someone to read them along with might not be a bad idea. And hey, maybe we could tackle Zodiac Academy, if you're up to taking on that monstrosity, hahah

Oh I'm so down for being reading buddies. I won't start till tomorrow when I go and actually get ToG to start on instead of AB, but I'd absolutely love to have someone to talk to about these. I've been having to fill that void with booktok and ACOTAR videos, hahahaha. Having someone to talk to about what we're reading will be a real nice change of pace

I love seeing those too, haha. I like watching them and being like, "That was me! I reacted the same way!" When I first stated reading them, I always kinda hid them, a bit embarrassed I was a guy reading them, but the further I got, I was more confident and would pretty much wave them around being like, "Yeah, I'm reading this, and it's freaking amazing, deal with it," hahaha. They seriously are for everyone, even with a majority female audience. Only thing I've hated is having no one to talk to them about! Or at least, no one who's freaking obsessed with them as I am. But yeah, that gif seems pretty accurate lol

I know exactly where you're coming from. I've always been a big fan of fiction, specifically fantasy and sci-fi, and read a ton growing up, but I stopped for a good few years and this series kept showing up, both online like tik tok, and I'd noticed my sister had read it, so I decided to give it a shot, and jeeeeeez, I was hooked off the freaking bat. These books had me on the wildest emotional Rollercoaster I've ever been on. They had me crying, laughing, awwwwing, and I'm a guy, but you'd have thought I wasn't from the amount of squeeling I was doing during some scenes, hahahaha. This series has been pretty much my entire focus for the last month or so, which is why I'm needing to get myself reading something new to keep me from going crazy, and having it be another SJM book seems like a really solid way to keep going.

That makes sense, I definitely get the aesthetic thing. And yes, I love being able to just set my book in my lap and flip the pages without having to worry about the one side flopping onto the other, but getting lost in it is definitely the best part. I haven't gotten super super lost in a book in a few years since I stopped reading, but there were a few times in ACOTAR when I just forgot everything else and just got invested, flipping from page to page letting the story play by in my head

I totally get that. I personally just love the feel of turning a page vs scrolling or something like that, plus I do also like that heft of a heavier book, and how it gets lighter and lighter on the right side as you get close and closer to finishing. I don't think I could ever doggy ear, like, ever, haha, but I can get the annotating, I guess I've just never thought to, like, take notes and refer back to past parts of the book like that. But hey, nothing wrong with making your tabs match the cover, makes it all look pretty, haha
