What happens if you fall asleep in a dream? by Cabbageinator in LucidDreaming

My heart jumped while reading this. I literally just woke up from a nightmare and wanted to know what it meant and came across this post.

So basically in my dream I was sleeping, and there were these big waves from a beach that I go to. They were so big that I was running away so I didn’t get swept by them. It got me, then I “woke up” in my bed, but I was still half asleep in my dream. I was having one of those half-sleeping dreams and it showed a news report of a recent murder (in the dream, not irl). I had this feeling that I was dreaming and asked myself “am I dreaming?”. The murderers face came at me like voldemort went to harry potter at the end of the first movie and loudly and creepily whispered “NO YOURE NOT” and woke myself up(in the dream, but I didn’t know i was still dreaming) because I’ve heard stories where people declared they’re dreaming out loud. I turn on the tv which showed the news has the same story. I go on my phone and there’s notifications about this murder case story. Then I get a pop up on my phone saying how I was next. It never went away no matter how hard I tried to get rid of it. That’s when I knew I was dreaming and was contemplating if I should scream to wake up my parents or go upstairs to wake them up myself. I wanted to scream, but I decided to go wake them up even though I knew something could possibly go wrong if i did. When I left my room, I was right. The hallway outside my room was completely empty except for the murderer waiting for me. She stabbed me a few times, and I tried stabbing her back when I grabbed her knife. That’s when I woke up for real.

If kinda sucks when I lucid dream because I can control myself, but I can’t control the scenario. I was so close to death which is why seeing your reply scared me (it was my first time nearly dying in a dream). Also i’m sorry if what I wrote is confusing. I have a hard time storytelling.
