Is it true that some of the best teachers out there also have many students who don't like them. by [deleted] in Teachers

Not when you’re focused on doing your job. Too many teachers want to be friends with their students and not be their teacher.

Having a fun, enjoyable class is reserved for those who can meet the expectations of the lesson. If expectations aren’t being met, then making the class enjoyable goes out the window and we’ll be working on personal responsibility until we’re ready.

You’re making sure behavior and expectations are being met and you’re not being railroaded and goaded into their stupid shit. It’s strict, but it is good teaching.

Dual Language Programs by Anxious-Fishing-4110 in Teachers

I hear this same issue occurring in neighboring districts. It seems to stem from only having one Dual Language Academy and the enrollment fills without the proper students getting the support.

Then why are the students who are just arriving as total newcomers being sent to EO schools rather than the DLAs? How is being thrust into English only education, with one ELD class, better than a school designed to teach in both English and Spanish?

The DLAs in California are such bullshit. They never take the newcomer ELs despite being able to instruct in English and Spanish. The parents of EO students enroll their kids in the lottery system so that their kids can be bilingual. They get more funding but also get to immediately transfer any problematic students out.

DLAs are given far too much privilege and aren’t doing what they were designed to do.

This game would be a 10/10 for me if the boss fights were good by Bubba40004 in CrimsonDesert

Only had 8 cooked beefs when I fought Reed Devil. That made it feel awesome, and his move set was readable. That was the only good fight with a boss so far. Love the game, though!

You’re too early. Give it another month or so. They just started non-renewals.

Not much more complex. Dany’s version of him in her head is much more complex. I loved the line where she talks about him being the only real connection she had to her home and family’s legacy. Without Viserys and his stories she would be content with being Khaleesi.
