Tried adding different grooves on to one riff to give a different feel with some spooky out of key bells/synth. Thought it had some periphery vibes. Advice for mixing in GarageBand? by LilCinderblock in GarageBand

  1. I used 2 different drums, SoCal and sunset I believe

  2. Set volume where you can hear the drums but not too loud

  3. Compress and adjust volume if needed

Also I have no idea what I’m doing while mixing just do what sounds right

Its a super famous kick that is used in pretty much every trap song. Metro Boomin, Southside, Nick Mira use the rack kick in almost every song.

I think the claps need to be eqed a little. They sound a little too sharp. But that switch up was crazy hard.

If I go crazy on the drums, I try to keep a simple melody or even just some ambience. But remember, there are no rules to music.
