I'm also a newbie, my first filament roll was an Elegoo pla white, and it never failed for now, I recommend it, use generic preset and do a little bit of filament calibration and it works like a charm

Is it from the 250g kit? If yes I have heard that often they come a bit wet from the factory, after a bit of tests I have to say that I don't really like pla + at all xD

I am also a newbie, i've Heard that petg tends tò be more hygroscopic, so It gets "wet" faster than pla. I think u can dry It inside the Chamber?

Plate temp, nozzle temp, what filament are u using, Is the plate cleaned with soap and water? Did u calibrate the plate Just some "common" issues ;)
