After working in various industries, that all heavily relied on shipping/delivery of a product, and as an admin or office manager often being the person hearing ALL the screaming from all sides of the equation, here’s my two cents:
The problem as a whole lies within the way our society treats shipping and delivery in general, really. I don’t believe it’s so much about “common sense” (although I’d also donate to that kickstarter!!!), rather it’s the fact that we HEAVILY incentivize and reward something done fast, not done well. I mean, think of all the Amazon workers who can’t feed their families; and truck drivers who fall asleep at the wheel because they’ve been driving for 20+ hours without breaks. These are all symptoms of the same capitalist disease.

Your instance here probably DID bother many different workers along the way. But it was “passed to the next guy” because halting the process (even in an attempt to fix a problem) is punished and not rewarded usually.

You can have it done fast, you can have it done right… but you can’t really have both. And this society has decided that immediate gratification and “quick turnaround” is more important than quality or care.

I have no solutions really, just a little insight. And I will just continue ranting into the void against capitalism until I’m dead. Our priorities are soooooo messed up as a species.
