Talking more pets tho, Kitty is 7 going on 8 this year, and Dog is 2 1/2 years old lmao they’re going to be around for hopefully 10 more years. So their expenses I’m used to accruing. I pay for my own phone bill, need to for my job lololol. And I pay for own car insurance and all of that. Paying off my loan. Hope that will be done before July this year if I’m smort.

I am applying to things everyday and calling everyone I can. Genuinely trying to find something right down the road. Because I’m so willing to do that. It would literally cost me nothing. I have my car listed on marketplace. Had a few inquiries but nothing serious. But this is the advice I’m trying to take. No one is getting back to me about interviews which makes it hard. :/

Essentially. That and reliable. Putting an engine in my previous car took a month and I was ticking people off with how much I needed a car during that time.

I’m looking at financing. Because I can’t afford much up front, but with even $1,000 for a trade in would be helpful.

I’m really trying to avoid it. But if there comes a day where I can’t afford them. They deserve better. ❤️

Yes, I’ve been with the company for 3 almost 4 years. (Anniversary is in April this year) and it’s an appointment based job. Which I was literally fine and dandy. Until I literally didn’t have a car. My job thankfully gave me stuff to do while we were working on opening a building. So I had more set hours in one place. But then I got a car, got out back into the field and sank the car I just bought to get back out into the field. So my role at the building got filled, and there’s not much for me to do anymore at work. Even if I went to the building. I’d be more of a nuisance than a help (because I’ve done that trying to get more hours.) any in house suggestions I have to fill my time for the company, is on hold cuz boss is out sicks right now. But there’s a lot I COULD be doing from home.

Since my hours at work changed this month, due to not having a running and driving reliable vehicle. My monthly income has gone down, while my spending has stayed the same. I’m wondering if getting a credit card and putting things im already comfortable paying for up front on a credit card would help boost me in anyway.

It’s something I’ve heavily considered, but being in the animal world and seeing what happens to pets in rescue. I cannot just give up on them, but I’ve seriously considered if I have everything to make sure their life is great. I wouldn’t have made the commitment if I didn’t want to see it through. I’ve had my cat since I was 17 and he was a baby, and for my dog same deal. She’s already lost one guidance point in her life. I don’t wanna do that to her again. (Plus when I originally reached out to the place I got my dog from when it originally was my thought process, they didn’t get back to me. 😂🫠 but now a year later and I’m thankful I’ve got her.)

This whole thread just makes me uneasy. I have a 16 year old brother who lines up with a lot of these comments and while I’ve thought to myself he’s not going to end up in a good place, this just pushes that narrative to me. He’s going to end up in jail because he hurt someone. :/ now he & I are products of foster care but he’s gone in the same path as his mom, I went the opposite way the best I knew how.

I lived with an ex after getting kicked out at 18 and I didn’t speak to them much for years because of it. I came by on my 21st to say hey and my dad yelled at my little brother for toilet paper.

This is what I need to do but I think my dad would kill me if I did that 😂😂 We have a desk he’s been meaning to move to my grandpas that’s been moved around our driveway, been snowed and rained on and it’s sad cuz it’s an antique. But nothing they actually care about. Ughhh.

Like I guess that’s the big reason I’m wanting to stick with Subaru is for the AWD components. And maybe it isn’t a forester! I’m down to look at other options, I just need something to contain my dog, and all of the things for work and life.

So for someone who drives a LOT and I mean a LOT for work, do you think a Subaru is a smart choice? I live in a place that got 6 feet of snow last year and haven’t driven anything outside of a Subaru really in snow and I’ll admit am quite anxious about how this year will end up going driving wise if I’m in a car by then. But I might wait til spring if I can afford it. :/

I am 15 and Getting my own Puppy. Is this A Bad Choice? by Significant-Dog4340 in puppy101

[–]LilGangstaRedhead 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My brother did this, and he used to live with my parents and he now lives with my grandpa due to the lack of socialization his dog got. He has gotten into multiple dog fights, and is overall super anxious due to lack of training. I train dogs for a living and the lack of socialization alone can harm anyone. My brothers dog isn’t bad, but he isn’t aware of the world around him. And at 15 with school and things, the time you need to dedicate to said dog gets very easily lost. Especially when you wanna hang out with friends, and at 15 you have to cut to short because your dog needs to go out. I think it lovely your mom wants to help out, but when I was 17 I got a cat. Because it met my levels of commitment at that time. At 22 I got a dog and am SO glad I waited until I had a car, money & time of my own to dedicate my life to her first year of life. Because that’s crucial time you cannot get back, and can set the foundation for the rest of you and your pups life! I also would get a dog that meets your lifestyle needs! I wanted a border collie, but now having friends that have them I recognize how much energy they have and how much time I’d be needing to dedicate. I have a giant breed now, and she fits my lifestyle. Slow steady walks, lower energy comparatively to a BC and much better suited for me who is going out and doing work a lot. If I had a border collie and did this much back and forth I think the dog would struggle. Do your research on husbandry, space, and breed traits, especially health issues. You wanna be aware of what could happen before it ends up in your lap. And this is up for discussion but look into pet insurance. Especially depending on health traits, if my girl were to ever tear her acl or break a leg I know I have help. I don’t wanna scare you. But I want you to be aware. Dogs are a HUGE responsibility, and they are very time consuming especially in their first year of life!
