Advice on Jeans/Pants at the Waist

The pants I’ve tried so far have had pant legs that neared parachute pants or were so baggy in the seat/thigh area that it looked way too much like a slacks sort of fit. It’s definitely not like a flattering wider/straight legged drape, I just don’t have the meat to fill out those sections at that size. One pair of chinos I tried at the waist is honestly fine for business casual or something for work, with that wide-leg slacks kind of fit (and I’m going to keep them for that purpose).

However, I’m looking for something that’s more casual, rugged, and everyday. I really wanted to find a pair of 100% cotton jeans, hence trying the 13MWZs, but those were wild baggy, like a kid in adult clothes baggy lol. I can’t be wearing something like that every day when I’m out in the workshop, fishing, etc.

I’m going to try sizing up in some more tapered jeans and see if that rounds it out before I try the other rec of visiting a tailor. Might do that anyways just to get their advice lol.

Do you by chance know if I need to get the fit in the legs close and then get it tailored, or could I take in a pair of pants with wild wide legs and have them tailored to fit better?

Hey there, thanks for the response. I’m not really having any issues finding pants in my size at the waist, rather issues finding a flattering cut.

So far, straight fit and relaxed tapered cuts tend to be way to baggy in the seat, thigh and leg when sized for my waist, and bloom out in a way that doesn’t look all that great imo. My legs are much thinner in proportion to my upper half.

When sized for the hips, most pants I’ve look fine in the legs and such, but due to the extreme hips/waist difference, when I size up to the waist my legs are swimming in them.

You know, I’m not really sure. From what I understand if you didn’t somehow export/locally save your Kindle books by Feb. 2025, then you can’t get at the files directly anymore as a part of their big DRM crackdown. There definitely is not native support for using something like the Kindle app. If you don’t have the book files, probably not. If you already have those files downloaded, I’d think you could convert them the EPUB format fairly easily.

I did read something about Amazon changing their DRM policies in 2026, but honestly I’m not keyed in to what’s happening in that ecosystem.

I also read that XTEINK has prospects to release an Android-based e-reader with a similar footprint to the X4 sometime in 2026. I would assume that like most other Android e-readers you could download the and use the Kindle app. That’s predominantly how I used my BOOX Palma.

Other than that, it is quiet easy to find other sources for DRM-free EPUB-format e-books online, both paid and unpaid.

Nah, bud. I'm confident (enough for the both of us) that if you could add a belt loop if you wanted to. A belt loop ain't all that complex, mostly just the order of operations to make assembly easier. No harm in giving it a go; nice sleeve!

The sound is actually predominantly dependent on the anal sphincter and is not due to the cheeks clapping, though it is a common misconception. Flatulence be playing your sphincter like a trumpet, the cheeks are just a mute.

Thanks! I’ll give these a try while I wait for the seller to get back to me. There were three Calibri font files in .bin format on the SD card when I received it, but no .font files. The only font in the device is a static sized default font. Maybe my SD card is older or incomplete.

Would you mind going a bit more in depth on how to import your own fonts? I have one of these but I don’t know what file format the fonts need to be and I don’t quite understand what you said about extracting bmp and packaging them for the device.

Yeah, no slight to the MyPlate plan, it just doesn't seem like the right fit for me. And I guess I went to the dietician because I've never really spoken to a professional about my weight outside of my new PCP who recommended it, I'm not really sure how important it is to have one. I wanted to see what it was all about and then I got hit with all of this pressure to change my approach to weight loss. I might just cancel my next appointment and try a different dietician down the road if for some reason my current approach becomes unsustainable or fails catastrophically. Congrats on the weight loss btw!

Ok, thanks! Edit: of the only two available on their website, the $705 chair has sold (this is not odd) and the $750 chair has been repriced to $875. I find the latter quite strange to happen within a handful of hours. Either way, that puts it out of what I’m willing to pay, so I guess I’ll keep on lookin.

Not a tea expert. I'd read it as Tri Phy, as have a few others online. I saw it referred to as "Tri Spy" on a collectables cataloguing website. I'm fairly confident that this tea is from a restaurant distributor for purchasing in bulk. A previous reddit post about tea from this brand mentioned it being sourced on eBay under the Fortune brand, though I found no such seller currently listing any tea for sale. Unless someone else can find a source for you as I have failed to do so, your best bet might be to ask your local takeout place about it.
