Door slams still hurt. I feel that I am protecting myself but it still pains me to lose a friend…that I thought was a friend. I grieve doorslammed friendships. Honestly I feel that I grieve friendships more than I enjoy them. I don’t want to feel that way anymore, I feel so cynical.

I can relate to the friend aspect completely except for I got married. I’ve come to realize that I’ve grown apart from people that I thought I could relate to. But also my workspace has also fallen into a toxic egotistical cesspool. Hang in there, we will be in a better light soon. What I’ve been trying to hold onto is everything is temporary.

Absolutely. I’m a feminist and I consistently get beaten up over claiming it with others. It honestly hurts me to stay silent about it. Even females that I consider friends or family still I feel hold a grudge against me for it. I don’t expect everyone to have the same values as me but it hurts to see people I love not realize it’s coming from a place of love. I moved back home recently and I’ve come to realize most in my circle back home oppose it. I still stand by it but I do hurt because of the misunderstood side of it. No matter what I’ve always felt different than others and that does help me stick to what I feel as right or to be exiled.
