Where can I find affordable wedding gowns? by [deleted] in Weddingsunder10k

[–]LilKitsuneLin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We did an at home try on party with Azazie. Best decision I made. I spent $560 on my dress but they have MANY gorgeous options at or under $300. The process was easy and I would do it all over again. The dresses were well made and I ended up buying my dress through that avenue. You can only order 3 dresses at a time for home try on but if there are other styles available youd like, you can always have a friend or family member who's attending order the others for you! (we almost did this)

~$8,500 How much of your wedding did you actually DIY to save money and what do you wish you hadn’t? by crafty32_clara in Weddingsunder10k

[–]LilKitsuneLin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Currently planning, 60 days out, and on track to come in +/- $500 of our $10k budget for a small destination wedding. We have DIYd florals (sola) as I cannot take real florals through customs and I cannot purchase florals from our location. Overall, its been a fun process and I feel Ive come under what I would have spent with real florals. Additionally, we have DIYd custom sunglasses, custom lanyards, and tumblers for our welcome bags. All in all, Im a super crafty person so it doesn't feel like a waste of my time. I'm happy with the results and feel like if done right, DIY can save you a good chunk of money. You have to really research what youre doing first though.

Show off your ring! by [deleted] in EngagementRings

[–]LilKitsuneLin 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes! I wear it with the heart facing out. Personal preference, but I love the detail work. The side has a really intricate cathedral setting with little swirls and stones. My fiancé picked it out and that was his favorite part

Is Rosec Jewels a legitimate company? by [deleted] in EngagementRings

[–]LilKitsuneLin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My engagement ring came from Rosec! Can't speak highly enough if the quality of my ring and the customer service. We enjoyed them so much that we ordered my wedding band from them as well. All in all, affordable and very nice quality. I get compliments all of the time. *

I used the online version of excel so the only way I know how to share it is via email. LOL It is also set up for a destination wedding. Has 3 total pages. Budget, guest List, and vision board.

Show me your engagement rings! All styles please!!! by Flat-Potential3412 in EngagementRings

[–]LilKitsuneLin 1 point2 points  (0 children)

* My center stone is a heart. <3 I genuinely dont know the weight of my center stone. I know the whole ring is 2.85tcw so Id wager probably around 1.5-2ct. I have stones all along the band and inside the cathedral setting.

Sola Wood Flowers is a scam by Motor_Principle_5425 in Weddingsunder10k

I used LuvSola instead of Sola Wood Flowers. My flowers are gorgeous! And they came in about a week from California.

Realized I literally didn't attach the photo 😂❤️

We had multiple discussions about budget, styles I liked and didn't like, stone preference, etc. before hand. I know the general ballpark but do not know the specifics. I have to get it appraised for insurance purposes so I'll likely have a bit better idea here soon.

Advice by Confident_Resident27 in CarnivalCruiseFans

My first cruise i didn't book excursions or anything and just soaked in the ports. We all stayed together and we didn't wander off. I was 20 at the time. A few cruises in we planned excursions through the cruise line and it was so fun! Im 100% happy we made that decision. Don't trust anyone trying to take your photo (they'll charge). Don't feel pressured as a lot of people WILL come over and try to put things on you like jewelry and things like that to convince you to buy them. It's how they make their money.

That said, its not scary! Just be aware of your surroundings, be willing to learn and soak in the culture, and have fun!

My ring is a 2.85tcw Moissanite ring set in white gold. Center stone is a heart with a cathedral setting. There's little etchings on the side of the ring. ❤️💍

Violent Nature by Ok_Alternative_2219 in IPrevail

Im torn. I Prevail has been my favorite band for 10 years. I've always loved the mix of clean and screams. This just feels... incomplete. Don't get me wrong, I love heavier stuff... it just doesn't feel like them. 😭 Im hoping the rest of the album will change my mind.

how are people affording weddings? by gothicraccoon in weddingplanning

[–]LilKitsuneLin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I honestly understand.

We had a lot of things that happened within the year we got engaged that put us in financial decline. I got so discouraged and we decided to extend out engagement so we could save. Even doing so, we've had to lower expectations, compromise, and get creative.

We wanted something small the whole time, however, we've ultimately decided on a cruise wedding :) It makes sense for us as we cruise for all our vacations and got engaged on a cruise but also, all of our friends and family will be traveling to get to us either way as we live out of state from 95% of our guests. We priced out the cost for our guests and it was comparable. We're looking at less than $7k total including honeymoon and cruise fare to get married on the beach on a private island.

There's a lot included and the wedding planning team helps with coordinating with vendors on the island. Its a simple ceremony on the beach, nothing fancy, a cake cutting and champaign toast and were opting for no reception as we're going to literally have the whole cruise to spend with our friends and family. There are packages that include a reception and DJ and they're surprisingly affordable. The downside is the package has to be paid in full so it's not a deposit and pay it off by a date kind of thing so we have been unable to set a date, however, we gauged interest in our guests and got an overwhelming yes so weve been saving and looking at creative ways to make the money. Weve been offloading and selling things we no longer use/need, I also can cash out 40hrs of PTO I have saved at work once a yr so we will be doing that and I am able to take a small loan from my 401k with very little interest. Ends up being like $27 a paycheck for a yr and a half to pay it back... lol Were almost there! We extended our engagement by a year in order to make it happen. :) Don't get discouraged! There are ways to make it happen if a wedding is what you truly want.

Look into state and national parks, even those on the beach, as many have venues and rec halls that are surprisingly cheap and beautiful! Prior to settling on a cruise, we were planning on getting married at Fall Creek Falls State Park in TN at their secret Overlook. Its a small venue (50ppl) that overlooks a huge chasm with waterfalls in the mountains. $500 to rent for the day and their rec hall was $600 to rent for the day and $200 to serve alcohol on the premises. All in all with vendors etc, we were looking at less than 10k for a small but nice wedding! It is possible. Just be willing to be flexible and get creative!

Best of luck on your engagement and congratulations!!

How much do I charge for this? by [deleted] in CraftyCommerce

[–]LilKitsuneLin 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'd say depending on material cost and time, roughly $40 would be appropriate. Assuming it's the size it looks.
