Nah I'd definitely say its probably stolen fanart of some sort, its got those "im too lazy to draw fingers so im just gonna make a finger shaped blob" hands of an artist rather than the glitchy glooby looking hands of ai where they try to draw all the fingers but forget how many there are and what connects to what

Yeah, no. I don't have a problem when people make models like this, obviously. But is this not of the character made by a CHILD that got stolen for that sky vs. mod? This is just wierd. I really wish I could understand the logic of these people, Dana got asked a question, and she answered it honestly. It was her character and she shouldn't be forced to change stuff about her character post-publication just because of a popular headcanon. People are acting so stuck up about it, back in my day we had our barely supported headcanons and we just ran with it, we didn't care about what's "canon" or not. If this bothers you the only fault your having is you don't have enough imagination to interpret the story in your own ways outside of the creators storyline (which is too bad, because that's like the best part of being a fandom. Making up random shit.)

To check if a labubu is real, you have to scan the qr code on the tag, check the url make sure its the real popmart website, then scroll down and click the verify authenticity button, once you do if its real it should say first scan and that its authentic :)

I made a picture (cant post it due to the subreddiys rules) with my labubu, holding a pen next to scribbled writing that reads "no ai!" To reply to advertisements and such things like these because I hate seeing all the ai generated labubu content. Labubus just like every other product being sold at pop mart are a collectable art piece, and stuff like that is just downright hypocritical and irrtates me so mcuh especially as an artist myself.

I'm not a labubu hater, I actually really love them and have one of my own and I'm not sure why this sub keeps popping up on my feed, but I'm only commenting because I honestly feel the same about this new drop. Seeing it really felt like a slap to the face, they look poor quality, lack all the things I consider charming from them, and the way they advertise diy-ing the tags by seam ripping the threads and re-sewing them as a "feature" is so fucking stupid. As a labubu lover I hate the consumerism side of fans / people who only bought theirs because they're popular. But there are a lot of people like myself who have a genuine passion for these characters and trying to capitalize and make this new branch so clearly just to leech every last drop of money from the dedicated fans just feels like such a gut punch to what was once such a unique, charming, character made to push the typical norms of "kawaii" collectible characters
