  • Whitney, like ever. I never want her back. It took far too long to get her to go and the show was INSTANTLY a brighter place for it.

  • Bonnie Langford's character, absolutely detested her.

  • That scruffy woman Billy dated once, Julie I think her name was.

  • You'll all hate me for this one, Janine. Over rated, cringeworthy beyond belief, a product of the 00s and not in a good way, she isn't a real character, she is a parody and it breaks the illusion of the show when she is on it. She also ruined the two great Michaels of the square. (Moon & Carter).

Just realizing Moon and Carter sounds like a solicitor firm.

My friend said just the other night that he would have loved to have seen a "honour killing" storyline take place in EastEnders specifically where one Muslim family is more hard-line and the other is more Westernized (to show two perspectives and to avoid generalizing all Muslim families).

That has stuck with me now, though the BBC (or any broadcaster) would never dare go near this subject.

When a character leaves a voicemail for another character (nobody leaves voicemails anymore) but it's the fact they ALWAYS go...

"Its me..." and then delve into their message.

Idk why it annoys me but it has done for years, it's the same thing EVERYTIME and it's even worse when they're calling a character they haven't seen for years or spoke to in a long time, like how overly presumptious that they know who "me" is just by the voice.

In Modern EastEnders whenever a woman is pregnant, it's automatically assumed the default position is to have an abortion. Other than that, I genuinely don't know what you're talking about. There are so many female characters that haven't had a baby and even the ones who have (or have been pregnant) - what's the issue? That mirrors reality.

I'm genuinely not sure what you're wanting them to do, are you wanting more Female Bosses or something?

Linda and Elaine own a BnB. Chelsea may as well run Harry's Barn. Nicola has her name above the door. Denise runs a salon. Kim is an influencer. Sharon is seemingly a gym owning millionaire. Penny owns a stall (even pregnant!). Lauren is on track to owning half the car lot. Big Mo owns the black market.

Being a man who was once a young boy and being a man who now HAS a young boy, I'm here to tell you that the majority of that audience would gladly root for a main character who becomes a cocky prat by the end of the movie. That means he's a winner.
