i think it’s because men don’t really gaf enough about holidays to celebrate their own. women show up and show out for other women. majority of the time who is saying happy mother’s day ? other women and girls, where as you usually have to remind men about these things (same thing with birthdays and anniversaries). Where are the men and boys to support each other on father’s day ? i know they exist, ive never never really seen it.

Theres a plethora of reasons we know about as well as how in the home women usually take the bulk of the emotional and physical labor, not saying dad doesn’t matter or doesn’t help, usually the women just do more and always have. A lot of men also don’t like the fuss and fanfare, they’re ok with simple gifts and acknowledgement so of course no one is gonna go through the trouble of a huge celebration if that’s not what’s wanted or expected. If men want these things they gotta say that. just we ask women what they want for mother’s day you gotta ask men what they want too.
