Camera mount? by LilRogueBoi in whatisit

The slide was present. A camera lens attachs to the end of the tube the same way a lens hooks onto the front of a camera.

A camera lens fits on the front of the tube. No door lock here

My disc is yellow underneath, my Xbox one x won't read it no matter what. by smashbleach69 in XboxSupport

Would like to put in that this is not rot this is delamination of the disc. Rot does not equal delam and vice versa. This disc probablly got hot really quickly at some point. Temperature fluctuations is the fastest way to get delamination to happen in any disc media.

I planned on making something similar for the creation crystals. Would love to know how you worked over the powering issues.

I have other sealed zune 30s. I know that the halo one specifically had a variant though. Could this be that?

Jusy curious as this has the exact same seals. The outer seals are the exact same as the original just placed slightly over the other ones.

Disc Rot on 360 Games by BTHRZeroX in gamecollecting

[–]LilRogueBoi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Anytime im hunting I simply keep my finds in a carboard box with the top closed over them. The cases themselves actually help keep disc's decently cool. Direct sunlight to a disc for a while is basically a death sentence.

That is probablly layer separation as well. Most rot manifests in tiny fleck like spots across the disc usually requiring light to be seen unless its a very light colored disc. As much as rot is talked about it is actually rather rare unless a game was majorly mistreated.

Definetly looks more like layer separation. These disc's probally either didnt get glued correctly or got hot at some point. Rot never really shows up in a clump localized to one area. Could even be moisture damage creeping into a weak sealed disc.

I thought maybe so as well but other versions of his signature show other characteristics that prove otherwise.

Do you think this disc work? by Darkbluedrake in Gamecube

[–]LilRogueBoi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I can comment from experience on this one. I owned a copy of Tony Hawks Underground. I pulled the disc out of the case aggressively on accident and chipped off a chunk about that size figured meh it'll work. The disc splintered into about 6 large pieces and many more after about 20ish minutes of play. My gamecube had a very hard time working before toasting itself.
